We camp on Lake James every year and are sure to take the boat over here for a lunch. The menu has a decent selection in a variety of price ranges. The loaded nachos are some of the best I've had anywhere.

Don't mean to disrespect the friendly staff, they were great, but the food was horrible. Burger was pressed, flipped and pressed until it was dry and hard. Nobody taught this cook how to make a burger. The most simple plate there is. Onion rings had slime between the batter and onion. It actually dripped out after your bite. Fries were mashed potatoes inside an outer jacket. One part was on point The tomato.. The real deal. Probably from a local garden. The setting on the lake. Not bad for man made. Probably more fun for locals than out of towers that are looking for an experience. I don't recommend this place. We followed up with Sonic burger since we stopped the meal 2 bites in. That should say it all

We eat here frequently only because it's close to where we stay, but the last two times we went we were seated to a table that wasn't clean. We had to ask for silverware or go get it ourselves. If we get an appetizer we never get plates and the prices are outrageous. I ordered the seafood combo tonight for $22. I would consider it equal with Long John Silvers. It was really bad. I left and went to Wendy's.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT !!!! This could be a great place but they really don't care for repeat customers. It is the only place on the lake with dock access as well as a campground with owners who would enjoy having a place to go after spending a day at the beach or on the lake. In the evenings all they care about is the bands they bring in and want customers who are just there to eat to pay a cover charge. We are new to the area and were excited about this place only to be very disappointed in it.
They stop serving dinner at 6 to prepare for bands. What the hec that is just when people are ready to eat.
Have now talked with locals who have been coming to area for years and they all say the same thing, they wish it better. They would like to have a place but I guess the owners just don't care about what they could have. I hate to see such a BIG Wasted Opportunity. Really wished for this to be better.response / report this review -

The food was awful. The grilled chicken sandwiches were inedible. The chicken was so tough you could not bite it off. The lettuce on The sandwiches was old and turning brown. The hamburger tasted funky and my son would not eat it. They were "out" of chicken quesadillas. The fries were okay but nothing special. The only thing that was made decently was a grilled cheese sandwich and the sweet tea.VERY expensive for the poor quality of food. The view and location are great and the lakeside dock is very convenient for boaters. Such a shame the food is so bad as this could be a great place.

The service was good (the table adjacent to us had a party of 10 and I had a party of 6, we both ordered food at the same time and everything arrived promptly) the food was decent and reasonably priced. Draft beer was cheap and nice lake views.

Quality food. Quality beer. Quality staff. Quality experience. I know they got a bad rep over the past year but with the new management and a couple new menu items, they're rocking it. I will definitely be back and recommend it. I just wish they were open a little during the week. Anyway 5⭐️ From me 👍🏼👍🏼

We at Bear Creek have been working hard on making many changes to our staff and our menu to make your experience the best we can. I highly recommend checking out our amazing views and our wonderful staff and excellent entertainment every Saturday and Sunday. If you ever have a problem please always ask for management because many of our performers have very large followings and we don't want anyone to get looked over!!

Stumbled upon this place as we were driving around. Amazing food, wonderful view, excellent service!!! The prime rib and fish tacos were the best we've ever had!
