The sheets were still damp from being washed, which just felt gross. It smelled something awful in there too. The whole place stank. The hallways, elevator, everything. Stinky.
This was a horrible experience. We had a hard time finding hotel as we had booked a Baymont; hotel ended up being a Super 8. Arrived in our room, felt it wasn't the greatest, but dropped off our things, went out, came back and decided to leave. Shower curtain was mildewy, bathroom fan disgusting, leftover food in drawer, room quite haphazardly put together. Man at front desk refused to cancel and was very rude; insisted on showing us other rooms, they were just as bad or worse. Ended up leaving, still trying to resolve cancellation/refund issues!
Nice place to stay.. Great staff. John at the front desk was real great help. I would stay again.
Very reasonable rooms for the price. Had to grab a room for the night last minute and they had fair prices compared to everyone else in the area as I really didn't need anything fancy. Room was simple but warm & clean. Only problem was the elevator was out of service - but at least it was only 2 floors to deal with!
Here are the items that influence my rating.
1. Price
2. Cleanliness (was clean and looks like night have been remodeled in last 5 -10 years.)
3. Beds were good. Especially for $70
4. Proximity (just off the turnpike)
5. Have microwave and fridge in room
- breakfast was not that good nor the coffee, but I will get my coffee at Starbucks
- did not have microwave in the breakfast area. We had to go back to our room to warm baby food.
Thanks.
Outstanding value if you just need simple hotel for a night. While other comparable hotels were priced $100-$150 per night, Baymont was only $70. Room was clean and hotel was convenient to multiple restaurants. Did not notice any traffic noise from nearby I-70. Only concern for some people is that hotel allows smoking. Our room was smoke-free but still hint of smoke smell from hallway. Would probably come back if driving through again.
