My experience here was somewhat pleasing and yet I don't think it's how it's described online. It is most definitely not casual at least for dinner and it's not truly hip at all, we mostly saw 40 and up customers that probably live on the mansions right on the beach. It seems this restaurant caters to them exclusively since it is overpriced and I've definitely tasted better entrees elsewhere. Staff were nice but since we were under dressed (due to the casual description of this restaurant on google) you could feel they prefer a certain clientele. They asked if we had reservations which I didn't see it was required on Google, but they did seat us. However they did take way to long to take our order and overall our total stay there was 2 hours and that's without having appetizer and having to rush through our meal because it was late and we had a 2 year old and 5 month old with us.

My wife and I just returned from a week in the Santa Rosa/Grayton Beach area. We had many fine dinners during our stay but we both agree Basmati's was the Best!
The food was delicious, the service excellent and the great atmosphere 'topped off' the evening.

7 people seated at a 4 person table. Ask the skeleton seating people if we could have a larger table and she made a snide comment "have you been here before"? "We serve Asian Style for small people". The food was awful for the price. Firecracker grouper had no flavor and the chicken was dry for $28 and $35 respectively. The group of 8 that came in after us got 2 tables the size of ours. Don't go if you like good sushi and Asian food. You will leave broke and hungry. Forgot to mention this is a reservation place, that must have been the reason for the high price a low quality. I have had better sushi from big box retailers.

This five star review makes me question all other five star reviews I have written. The calamari is the best I've ever had. The sushi is incredible. I also got the shrimp appetizer. Excellent service as well.

Easily one of the most consistently great restaurants on the Emerald Coast. The menu is filled with delicious options that you won't find elsewhere (firecracker grouper and the banana spring rolls are favorites). Getting a table on the back porch is a must for the best experience. Fantastic place for family or date night.

The waiter said the fish is "phenomenal". I guess he thinks McDonald's fish sandwich is phenomenal, too.

Wow! The hostess was insanely rude, place was empty, we went there about 5:45. She said sorry no tables, to my shock, then said we should have made a resv. . When I explained that it was my daughters birthday and she had a last minute change of heart for her birthday dinner, hostess went,"sorry." And walked off. Needless to say, we won't be going back.

This is a hidden gem on 30a. One of the best restaurants we have been to. From beginning to end this place was superb. Was greeted with a smile and immediate service and Fon was our server and was so pleasant and educated us on the specials for the evening. You can tell the staff cares about their customers. The manager came to our table and welcomed and thanked us for coming. My husband got the cobia and grilled tiger shrimp. I had the red snapper. Both were amazing. We already want to go back. A must on 30A!!!!
