Worst ER ever! Took our 16 year old doctor w/a head injury from cheer to ER today & nobody was in waiting room, but every single person who came in after us was going back. Ask the lady who was rude & not nice if they were skipping her & they said yes! After an hour we left & headed to Norton’s Children’s ER where we have been before who are excellent & should’ve just went to first. Never make that mistake again.

I’ve had to visit Floyd a number of Times for my grandmother and my mother. I think we have been on every floor, some are better than others. One thing that I have seen among all the healthcare professionals is their compassion , love and their need to serve others. We recently just had to lay my Grandmother to rest , she passed away at Floyd. They did everything they could exactly how they should ,my grandmothers body just couldn’t handle it anymore . I wouldn’t take my loved ones to any other hospital but Baptist health Floyd Memorial . Thank you for all that put in your hard work each and every day for us ! I know I appreciate it! ❤️

The ER sucks!! Waited forever! People after me were being called back and I'm still waiting so I ask how much longer for me and she couldn't ever find my papers!! Then she came and ask me if I went out to smoke because she said they called my name twice and I never even got up and went to the bathroom!!! Even the woman sitting next to me said they never called my name!!

Granny came in for a surgery and was fine after. We should have taken her home right away instead of trusting the icu to care for her. We had to tell them to address basic things like taking her out of an ice cold room where she likely caught pneumonia. They took her out of the room after we got on them. They were encouraging us to pull the plug on her, daily. It really seemed like there was no doctor in charge, only cranky incompetent nurses who had to be told what to do on some pretty basics. Do not trust the after care staff with your loved one. Their best advice is to "make them comfortable" and then pull the plug. Now granny is in hospice, with strep, pneumonia, staff infection, bed sores, and ademia.
There are literally buzzards crawling around on the roof. I took pictures and I'll post them.response / report this review -

Worst experience ever. Thankfully, we have not had many trips to the ER, but will not be back to this one by choice. My husband was brought by ambulance after an episode where he hit his head. The aid who took him for a scan never said a word and acted like she was pissed off to be there. Never talked to a doctor, except to have one stick his head in for 15 seconds literally to say a discharge nurse would be in. Never asked what happened up to my husband hitting his head. My husband was still disoriented, we wanted to know if it was a heart problem, choking or what? The only friendly one there was the registration lady. But even then, the nurse/aid , she never introduced herself, who didn't act professional or look professional, interrupted her to check a monitor without inquiring about my husband's status. The discharge nurse came in, had him sign papers, but gave no instructions except he had a concussion and here's a prescription for Naproxin. At 12:40am, thanks. Nice you have a sign that states the ER is not affiliated with Baptist Floyd. Don't know where you found these "Employees", but might want to look into a major overhaul.

Sorry will not ever use this hospital again, staff is rude. Nurses don't show any effort to act like they care if ur getting better. Most want to stand around and gossip with each other. It is the worst hospital.

ER staff was very attentive. They took me right in and gave me the best of attention in the shortest time possible. I was admitted for two days. I couldn't be happier with this hospital.

Scam you with cancer dx, drug you with scopolamine/atarax so you'll comply with treatments. Baptist Floyd ran by drug addicts/scam artists who then rob you at home for the rx's they prescribe. BEWARE!

I have been here twice and both times have been pleased with the support I have been given. While being in the hospital is never fun, the staff at Baptist Health Floyd make it much more bearable.

Has went downhill over the last ten years. Used to be a pretty good hospital many years ago. Was told by a wound care doctor that it was up to me if my foot problem got better or not. Wound care doctors never had any solutions. Might as well treat yourself

I am surprised to see all the negative reviews. I guess people leave reviews more often when they are unhappy with service than when they are satisfied. I saw the doctor mentioned in one of the reviews below, Dr. Wurst. At first, I thought he was a little cold. But he ordered pain meds immediately for my kidney stone and a couple hours later, he came in and talked with me for quite awhile about the CT results and gave me some helpful tips to try to avoid future stones. He was very personable and I chalked up my first impression to him just being a busy ER doctor. My nurse was fantastic. Very responsive. Very kind. This is a very large hospital and ER. That means that it's very busy. Coming from DC, I was impressed. Yes. There was a wait. That's not unique to this ER. I waited five hours at Clark once, so **shrug** It's all a part of it. If you think you're having a heart attack, don't chance the wait, call for an ambulance. Thanks for the great care, Floyd!

I just had surgery yesterday, I had a tubal ligation, plus bladder surgery. Dr, Silva is a great surgeon. He explained the procedure to me in great detail. The staff was welecoming, and the nurses were caring. I especially had a very caring nurse, whom was very comforting and supported me in an emotional level as well. She gave me some great advice and went out of her way to help me. Overall, it was a good experience.
