Christmas Eve morning. Needed coffee. My son & I walked to Balans. We each had a cappuccino & decided to have breakfast. The service was great & helpful. We sat outside with the beautiful December weather. The food was delicious & reasonably priced.

Place is Good, Food and Drinks are nice. but This Place is missing 2 stars Just Because of its Service. The staff needs to be trained and should deliver the order in time on Tables and professionally. Otherwise great experience.

I usually come here for breakfast or brunch and they offer your usual American breakfast items like eggs Benedict, Florentine, pancakes and oatmeal. I almost always get the oatmeal with water (they also make it with milk) which comes with banana and I ask for honey.
The alcoholic drinks I've had here were not of good quality, though.response / report this review -

The only thing better than an October Sunday morning in Miami below 80 degreesis starting the day with a fantastic brunch. Today I was fortunate to have both!
Balans has been my go-to brunch spot in Brickell for yearsbut something has recently changed this bustling, yet relaxing eatery, from good to great. The servers were more than welcoming and gracious from start to finish. My spinach stuffed omelette came piping hot, the Swiss cheese melted perfectlyand most importantly, with clean flavors. My mimosa was the cherry on top!
Definitely stop in for a nice weekend bite. The menu, while offering many breakfast staples, also has a variety of tasty eclectic creations.response / report this review -

I work onboard the cruise ships and this is my only place on Saturday mornings, seriously i love it!! Staff amazing, fast service and free WiFi so I can upload my reports. Eggs Benedict with crab thank me later it's Amaze!!

Service is painfully slow and I kinda feel the servers don't care. But, go for the hookah! The hookah is the best and the only reason we ever go.

Amazing food, but horrible service. I was so excited to come and eat here. I felt extremely profiled. Our server Danielle said good morning to the people next to us but she didn't say good morning or anything to us. She just asked "are you guys ready?" With a horrible attitude. She was checking up on them but didn't check up on us.

I had great experiences at this place in the pst but last night my perception changed. Out first server was very pleasant but was going home and we closed out with her to tip her accordingly. The new server was very rude every time he approached the table and to make matters worse, he wanted to charged us for more beers that what we consumed. When I approached him to tell him that he was overcharging us, he became defensive and extremely rude saying that if it was in the bill is because we consumed that. The manager was engage but the attitude was the same, she said that if it was in the bill and the computer, then it was because we consume that and that we were clearly too drunk to remember how much we consumed (I stopped drinking after 4 beers, 3 with the first server and 1 with the new rude server). At the end, the manager decided to take off two beers but we were still being charge for more than what we consumed.
It is not a matter of how much the beers cost but the fact that we were getting charged for additional items that we did not consumed and the attitude from both server and manager towards the situation.

The food is fabulous, the service is good, but the bathrooms were gross. 😥 Bring that it's a good establishment bathroom cleaning I think is very important.

Manged to get the last inside table on Mother's Day. Ordered the Balan's Breakfast, a feast on a plate. Despite the busy day, service was fast and efficient. Food was cooked to perfection. Servers checked twice on coffee levels and promptly refilled. Overall a great experience.

I've been here for brunch, lunch and happy hour a handful of times. There is a decent variety of food and drinks. It all depends on what you get. Breakfast is good, lunch can be ok. Happy hour prices on food and drinks is a great deal. My issue is with the cleanliness. I've sat along the bar many times and the counter is frequently sticky and there are fruit flies or gnats or something. Also my most recent visit the person next to me had their shoes off and rubbed their feet nonstop while putting their hands back on the bar. A few employees walked by and noticed but didn't ask the customer to put their shoes back on.
