Except for the self satirizing beet appetizer everything was delicious. The wine selection was perfection. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. We loved the low key yet tasteful decor.

Great service, amazing food, fantastic wine. It's on the more expensive side but definitely worth it. One of the best menus and chefs in Champaign.

I haven't found a restaurant comparable to Bacaro south of I-80 in Illinois.
The atmosphere is special, yet not pretentious. The food, the service, the wine menu and the drink service -- all stellar. It's the perfect spot for a romantic dinner, special occasions or even to host a party. You owe it to yourself to give Bacaro a try. You won't be disappointed.

High end meals. Not a lot of variety on any given night though.

The food here is really good! Bacaro uses fresh produce and ingredients and you can definitely tell. My coworkers and I get their Friday lunch special almost every week. Today we all got their BBQ Chicken Sandwich and let me tell you I've never tried anything like it! The staff has also always treated us superbly. If you want to try something new and creative, check them out! :)

Food wasn't very authentic. Though it didn't give me a stomach ache. Steak was good, Tagliatelle with mussels was pretty much Campbell tomato soup mixed with garlic. Hummus and buratta were very bland. Lemoncello is supposed to be served in a chilled glass and served from a freezer, not a fridge.
