Very nice! They had handicap camping spots that were level and close to the showers/bathrooms/laundry, which us great for my disabled mom. Very quiet, peaceful. Bug fire pits with grill for cooking. Just wish the shower stalls had doors instead of curtains.

We had a great time. Babcock State Park is one of WV best state parks to go to. Even better, if you're going to be in the area around Bridge Day near the New River Gorge (Which my grandfather was very fond of mentioning it's status as the longest single arch bridge in the world at 1700 ft for many years, it's now the fourth) you'll find plenty to do and lots of activities and places for your children to play.

I absolutely love this place! It's so beautiful! There's also a many things that you can do me here for the family and would recommend going to enjoy some nice quality time with your family while having the best views.

Babcock is one of my favorite places to visit in WV. I love the Midland Trail drive, the trees, rocks, river, overlooks. Everything! I was there on 11/5/17 and was very disappointed. The overlook when u first go in was closed for the season. The road to the pond/lake, closed for the season. And the road across from the snack shop, closed for the season. Even the bathrooms were locked up. It's fall! People were everywhere taking pictures. Temp was in the 60's. What's going on? Not exactly tourist friendly.

Been coming here for 30 years! We are never disappointed. Beautiful hiking trails, overlooks, all along the New River Gorge. A second home to us! Highly reccomended for families!

We only went to the grist mill so can't say much else about the park.
Restrooms were downstairs and I'm not sure if they were handicap accessible. I saw no elevator and there were stairs outside the building (gift shop and office).response / report this review -

My family and I met here the weekend of October 14. We stayed to nights in efficiency cabins 24 & 28. Complimentary bundled of firewood and cabin had everything you'll need. Has good WiFi. Not luxurious but absolutely perfect for us. The cabins have enough room for cooking, sleeping and a nice size bathroom. Cabin 24 had two queen size bunk beds and a great 'back yard' just right for the kids. Cabin 28 had 4 twin size bunk beds and a hill out the back that was fine for adults but not little kids. Also each cabin had a screened in porch which is great for lunch and hanging out. These cabins are also very close to the playground area. The grist Mill is beautiful and lots of hiking trails. Bring all you need b/c the closest store or restaurant is about 30 min one-way. The park has larger and more luxurious cabins but we didn't stay so we'll have to report on those next time because we will definitely be back. We visited to do the sticks and stones 9 Mile trail run..whew That was a hard one! 😀 But absolutely gorgeous!!

I love the scenery of Babcock, the place is a photographer's dream. The gift shop is nice and full of WV and Babcock themed things. The park staff are really friendly and helpful.

Great place to spend some time in nature. Beautiful and fun. Nice looking cottages to rent, cool old mill, great little hiking trails, small pond for fishing or renting paddle boats. Great shop, has drinks and bathrooms. Everything well maintained.

Beautiful park! There's many trails and options for walking and hiking, fishing, camping, cabins,and a swimming pool. My family loves it. Nice place to take pictures.

This grist mill, Glade Creek Grist Mill, is reportedly the most photographed mill in the United States.
I took this photo due to being alerted to its existence by a fellow camper at Stonewall Resort.
I have entered the photo in two photo contests and it placed 1st in the annual competition of The Shreveport Photographic Society Landscape category for 2016. I also entered it in the monthly Pentax Forum photo contest for April's "Flowing Water" contest. It placed 2nd in that competition which had 141 images that were judged as finalists from entries worldwide.

I love this place. It's so beautiful and peaceful. It's a bit small but it's beautiful all season long. Trees and flowers blooming in the spring, Green everything in the Summer, Rainbows of color in the fall, and Icy water falls in the Winter. You can't go wrong here and they even have a lake uptop
