I came here because I mistakenly thought there was a place for lunch. Before heading to lunch, I went to use the restroom. As I was getting ready to leave, a woman who worked at the hotel actually came into the restroom to ask if I was staying there. I said I was there to eat at the restaurant and she proceeded to tell me there was no restaurant, that the public restrooms were across the street, and that the restroom I was in was not public. I was completely taken aback by this woman’s accusations and downright rudeness. Never before have I been hounded down by hotel help in this manner. I am very disappointed in this establishment. They need to work on their customer service skills. This sort of behavior is unbecoming of a vail area hotel. I will not be recommending Austria Haus to anyone.
Front dest staff was very helpfull
Incredible location, hotel, staff, foodeverything! They go above and beyond to create a beautiful atmosphere and treat you like family.
I recommend this hotel to all who want all amenities as well as class and great food. Family friendly too!
My family will be coming back again.
It's a fancy place but rediculous over priced for what they're offering. You can constantly hear the elevators in the bed rooms. Breakfast is mediocre and the idea of valet parking is nice till you have to pay them a tip every time
I have been coming to Vail for quite a long time, but this is the first time I have been to this place. They serve brownies and cookies in the lobby (very good!) in the afternoon, have complimentary hand warmers, food and ski storage. The rooms are spacious, and ours had a beautiful view of Lindsey's/Giant Steps and the Gondola. Free breakfast buffet every morning, and grooming reports available at 7am.
Visited with my girlfriend, and family. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and very warm, even the bathroom floor had heater in it. Beds very comfortable. The first night we were serve complimentary Wine and Cheese and one of the staff stopped by and offered up suggestions on restaurants and activities. Highly recommend Austria Haus. Very close to Covered bridge and bus stops. Had the best time ever. Plus they make a good cup of coffee.and Early..I will stay here again
We own a residence here and it is very awesome. If you want a nice, medium sized and comfortable place to stay in Vail this is the way to go. The staff here is very nice and the buffet in the morning is very good on time for skiing. It is in a great location and I highly recommend it here.
Perfect location in Vail Village. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Housekeeping did a great job, going above and beyond. Comfortable beds, cozy room, and perfectly laid out bathrooms. The heated bathroom floor and in room fire place was such a nice touch. Breakfast was just what you would want before hitting the slopes and the hot tub was perfect after getting off the slopes. If we come back to Vail, this is the only place I would want to stay!!!
We had a great experience here. I70 closed due to snow on our drive home so we stayed here a night. Paid less than we were expecting to and got a great room and great service. Fun being right in the village.Would definitely stay here again.
