The gates do not help with safety at all because they are never closed. Parking is a big issue. My roommates and I had $700 move out charges EACH. Do not waste your time here at all.

Will not be living here again next year. They charge a lot for how little they care about the property around here. Not only that they do charge fees like no other. Had problems with them before I even finished signing a lease for this year. This place isn't really safe either, lots of crazy stuff has happened here that isn't fully disclosed or made public. There has been numerous police incidents here in the past few weeks. I won't even being to mention how many car accidents I've almost gotten in because they're too lazy to fix the gates here. I mean seriously you charge me a $25 fine, for something as silly as putting my trash beside the door because we don't have a trash can that the property is supposed to provide. I've called that office like 3 times to get a new one too, still haven't gotten a new one. They do not put any fees they charge back to the property. I moved in and it was like they hadn't even checked the place or made repairs from the last renters. I've heard they fine like crazy on move out, seems like none of those fines go to repairs afterword. Half this furniture in here is on its last leg (before we moved in), the appliances were broken upon move in, and over all this place it was just plain gross on move in. Utility bills are managed horribly here, you get them ridiculously slowly and they use a 3rd party service for billing that charges ridiculous extra fees to just pay your bills. It seems nice from the outside, but it's not worth it. Also just hope your internet works in your building, or I wish you good luck with Elauwit who took 3 weeks to get us actual working internet and tv. The maintenance team couldn't even find a key for the lock box for the internet modem, they ended up having to destroy the lockbox to get it fixed. Cannot wait to see how much they fine us for something we didn't even do.

Aspen is without a doubt my favorite place I have lived at in Statesboro. I loved how big the rooms are and the fact that cable and internet are included in the rent. I had some problems when I needed to find a reassignment after I had to move, but the office staff was very friendly and made sure the issue was resolved. I would definitely live here again if I could!

It has been a good place thus far.. but I have heard countless stories of people being way over charged for "damages" and has to personal friends of mine. That being said the other ratings for 1 star are valid. I feel their business can take advantage of younger people that are unaware of non-sense charges, fines, overages, ect..

We pay more to live on the pool, yet they will *NOT fix the hot tubs in either pools (phase 1 & phase 2.) There has been a number of us that have sent in countless work orders, and after months of trying to get it fixed they said, "sorry to inform you, but it costs to much and we will not being taking further action to the problem." The hottub was a solid green for months, then drained, now back to a nice cloudy water.

***Note, it costs too much yet they have countless give aways ( $1000 last month, yetis, ect) highend ideas. They keep operational costs to a minimum, but they are a multi-million dollar company owning a range of different complexes. $2000 to fix a heating unit is nothing..

    Update _______

Someone kicked our door in at our house, so Aspen's way of fixing it was to fill in the cracks in was in with paint and spackle. After closing the door twice the whole frame is about to come off. #Quality

If I could give this place no stars I would. Not only is the place very expensive to live in, they have numerous added on fees, and tried to make me pay unnecessary fees when I moved out. My house was perfect, and the inspector said that. They now will not reply to my emails. This place looks nice on the outside but they are way over priced. Do not waste your time. The hot tubs never worked, and they refuse to fix them, despite the amount of money they charge us for the pool side view. Over rated for sure.

Aspen is the best place in Statesboro to live. The managers work with you as best they can and the bedrooms are HUGE (which is my big thing). Also, they have half baths in every house so that people don't have to walk through your bedroom just to go to the bathroom. And there is a shuttle to campus, so you don't have to buy a parking pass (and those things are like 200 bucks). Let's just say, I'm renewing.
