From the entrance, all the way to panning for gold.. This place was worth the money. We had a great time. A lot of information, guides with a sense of humor, great place to tour, and you're not in a big group of people (at least when i went).

My husband and kids liked it but unfortunately I had to wait in the car and by the river. We had our small puppy with us and I wasn't aloud to enter the property. I wasn't planning on taking the tour but it would have been nice to just be able to walk around and see all the cool equipment they had. My family really liked there tour guide said he was very knowledgeable and funny.

A friend and I took the Argo tour a few months ago and had a wonderful experience! Kenny was our guide and was very knowledgeable in all aspects of the mining of the Argo. He made the tour fun for everybody and not just another history lesson. He taught us how to pan for gold at the end of the tour and once you get started it's hard to put that pan down to leave!

Thought I'd take the tour and do some tourist things but man did they surprise me with a riveting and interesting Tour!!! This was totally amazing and worth every penny. Ask questions and you won't be disappointed

I really enjoyed the tour of the old silver mine. the video information and the tour guide information was very interesting. at the end of the tour you get to pan for gold which is kind of cool.

Very cool site, a mine and service tunnel that was decommissioned in the 1940s, leaving many of the ore processing devices intact. Great, informative hour and thirty minute tour followed by learning how to pan for gold. Loved it!

We arrived early and panned for gold before the tour. We were given a panning lesson and managed to find a few flakes -- more than we expected, and fun. We went into a room for a brief video and saw examples of the various types of rocks found in the area mines. We also saw demos of the processes of how the larger rocks were broken down. We took a shot bus ride to view the compressor room and then went ~130' into the tunnel. There was tour of the mill which is interesting given the age of the facility. It was a very enjoyable 2 hours. Friendly and knowledgeable tour guide and staff.

I barely remember going as a kid. A few days ago, however, I was very delighted to see all of the improvements.
The tour guide takes place in mining rodeos and was a local miner for generations. Basically, he was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour really fun and informative.
It's got a bit of an Americana feel to it, with so much local history.
The gold panning was authentic-- they got it from the river. What you found, you keep.

Went to look around and see if we could get a tour, but found out we were too late. Tours are not very often, so plan ahead! Cool little shop inside if your looking for rocks and such.

What a wonderful experience. Our tour guide Walter is a 3rd generation miner and provided deep insights into the science behind mining, which was great for our 9 year old. our 3 year old loved going into a mine and the old mill was a treasure trove of classic American early 20th century technology - plus filled with fantastic museum displays. Highly recommended.
