I had a great time came all the way from New Jersey everybody was courteous, friendly and helpful with making my reservations. My guide was funny cool and informative I'm sorry I can't remember his name. I would definitely recommend AVA Rafting and Zip- line to anybody I had a really good time and can't wait to come back and do it again.

Rafting trip was amazing! Ken was our guide, and he was great. Kept the trip lively and fun (even though it was a bit chilly!). He is very knowledgeable about the area, rafting, and other tidbits. Would highly recommend!! Can't wait to book another adventure.

After coming out of town our trip was changed 3 times due to river conditions but went from 1 day to 3/4 day to not even 3 hours. Was disappointed called told manager was willing to give discount if we went back after talking to husband he says never again. But on a positive note our guide Jake was awesome. After talking to manager knowing there were other rivers to put us on they never offered. We were looking for a thrill not a kid ride.

Great rafting for families and first timers. I was used to a little more intense rapids than this trip but what truly made it great was our guide Hunter. He made the rapids seem far more intense than they were and the first time rafters in the group bragged about it all day. The experience would not have been the same without him, thanks again.

The Lewis Group were very well taken care of today.. My sister and her husband were in town to visit so we booked a 2 hour rafting trip with AVA. The entire experience exceeded our expectations. Caleb was our rafter leader and did an amazing job negotiating through very turbulent waters. He spent a large amount of time to discuss and demonstrate safety and the correct ways for paddling the boat and listening for commands. We never had any tip overs or lose anyone in the water like other rafts. He was cool, fun and the entire experience is one we will have to do again. Thank you so much for the safe and fun trip down the river. Next time lets do more rapids.. Thanks from Greg, Jayne , Melissa and Kevin.

Trip was great! So much fun, guide was hilarious etc.
The only thing that was annoying and could be improved were the pictures. The trip was for my birthday so I really wanted the souvenir picture. Ok, $25 not a big deal, usually same price at any other tourist trap BUT I figured I'd get an actual picture. NOPE, for $25 I got an email with a link to the picture. We had an awesome rafting adventure on Clear Creek. Our guide, Kurt did a great job keeping us on course and preparing us for a fun trip. Definitely a must if you are in the Idaho Springs area.

Rafting is pretty fun in general. Our group of 10 payed in advance for a full day. Due to weather, it got pushed back a day and they could only offer us a half-day. Up to this point no issue. When on the bus to the rafting drop-off, they determined which people would be in each raft. My group was to be 5 and 5 per raft. We get there and they are a raft short and had to split of my party group into 3 groups. My friends flew from many states away, (Missouri/Florida) to raft with each other, only to find out we would not be together. Would have been better if they didn't tell us right before it would be 5 and 5. Anyway, I can get over that. What I can't get over is that we had to fight for only a partial refund. After many unanswered calls, voicemails, and emails, we finally recieved a portion of the refund.
All in all, I feel personally robbed of money, and robbed of having a good time with my friends together. If you raft with these guys, I would advise to keep your group small to ensure you can at least be together, and also to check the weather to make sure there's no chance your date could be moved, and then miss out on a full refund. Hunter was a cool guide though.response / report this review -

We had a great time zip lining with AVA in Idaho Springs! Our guides were very helpful and walked us through all of the necessary steps at each line. Our group was 11 people and the experience lasted 3 hours. No restrooms or water when you're out on the course. Would recommend bringing a water bottle that can be clipped to a belt!

Amazing! Incredible course - thrilling, beautiful, challenging. Our guides were Travis and Tony who put us at ease with their great sense of humor and made it an experience we will never forget!
