The locals have a habit of telling anybody who asks "this is where the pricks go to play" and while even their staff accepts this as being true, it's important to note that they are now the only store in town who runs sanctioned tournaments.

I could go on for a long time about how Arena handled problems with culture clash and hyper competitive players like a champ but that would devalue both how awesome these people actually are and pigeon hole the store as a MtG shop when so much more is happening.

First, the owner often leaves his dog, Gabby behind the counter. She's so well behaved most are unaware she's even there but store pets are a huge plus anywhere in my book of awesomeness.

Second, Arena has done a great job with diversity holding regular Magic, Yugioh, Pokemon and even Vanguard tournaments. Non competitively they hold regular D&D sessions. Oh yeah, they also have comics, now the name makes sense.

Finally, I showed up one day with nothing but a commander deck to play a few rounds not realizing this was a store you need to "sign up" to play in their "free and casual" commander games. Shortly thereafter I told one of the standard players my mistake and that I would've played the upcoming standard tourney if I had a deck so they loaned me one for the night no questions asked, I just paid the entrance fee.

Was the deck terrible? Yes, but it was made infinitely better by the presence of the store's communal "free common/uncommon bin." The point is, pricks play everywhere but so do awesome people. Don't let the former overshadow the latter.

I would hardly describe this place as a "Comic book store". They have Dungeons and Dragons and Magic out the ass. Comic selection is very limited. I had a pull list with this store but hadn't been by in a while because I hadn't had time to stop by. In this time they closed my pull list without notifying me. I'm not sure what kind of business does this. When I asked if I could get comics from my pull list, the cashier replied with an attitude "We closed your account because we hadn't heard from you in a little while" I guess I'll take my business to New Force. Better people, better selection, and not people after just your money. New Force is all around a much better store. Do not shop here you will be disappointed.

This is mainly a gaming store, less comics. There's tons of tables set up for table-top and card cames. The comic section is pretty small and cramped, but the new releases are in a good setup. For what the places is, it's really awesome, but I give it 4 stars because I think they could use another 600-1000 square feet to give the place some walking room.

I love this shop so much. The first time I went in the staff treated me so well and didn't hesitate to help me set up a pull list (which is something that the other shops in town never even offered to do.) By my second visit, the boss knew my name and was making recommendations based on my pull list. Every time I visited, the staff made me feel so welcome. I can't say enough about the service, and the comics selection is excellent, as well. The other shops around PC can be pretty inconsistent with their stock, but I never missed an issue here. I can't speak to the tabletop gaming, but I do know that whenever I visit everyone seems to be having a good time. All in all, its just an outstanding comic shop experience! Please give them all of your money.
