I have already recommended Antler Log Cabins to several of my friends and family members after staying three nights over this past weekend. I stayed in Angler cabin and was so impressed with the surrounding grounds and the view and access to the lake just a few steps from the front porch. The cabin is clean, beautifully decorated and stocked with anything I could ever imagine needing. I also loved that fact that although there are other cabins on the property, the way they are situated, you have total privacy, which I love. Though all the cabins were occupied for the weekend, I actually didn't see another person the entire time I was there! I did see a flock of wild turkeys and much of my time in the front porch swing was spent enjoying the hard working chipmunk who lives under the front porch. I want to add that Mary handled my reservation and was very professional, yet warm and friendly. I'm going back in just a few weeks to stay in another one of the cabins, and I'm sure that won't be my last trip. This is a lovely, well-run establishment. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful retreat.
I've been here multiple times. The cabins exceed expectations - they are clean, stocked well, and top quality compared to competitors in the area. I'm going down again next weekend.
To the person calling Mary rude in some of the other reviews - I believe the problem might not be with Mary but with the person using 2 accounts to post four 1 star reviews
Spoke with Cabin reservation clerk yesterday to confirm 1 night stay availability. Receptionist confirmed we could book for only one night for Grandpa's Cabin with $50 additional cleaning fee on 9/9. This would bring the small 2 bedroom cabin to $300 that night. I told them we would call back in the morning to put down our reservation. When we called back, the same operator changed their mind to say 1 night stay is not permitted. There is nothing listing this on their website. The woman was argumentative and rude. Would not suggest calling them.
We rented Pappy's cabin for three nights. Very clean, great decor! We will definitely be back!
Perfection! I went here on my honeymoon. We stayed 2days in the angler cabin. It was so cozy. I loved this place and would definitely recommend it. will be going back!
We stayed at Aspen Lodge. It's a clean, nice place and the pics are representative of what it's like. I think it depends on what you want.
3 Issues others should be aware of: 1) The main level floor is very squeeky. You can't walk quiety. In fact it is so loud you can't hear the TV if someone is walking around. 2) Not only is there no WiFi in the cabin, we had roaming cell service. That meant no internet at all, even through our cells. If you need service this is not the cabin for you. 3) Lastly, the only way to change the TV station in the bedroom is to change the channel in the living room. Nowhere is there info about that. Friday night we messed with it for a long time. Saturday when I called the woman was nice but didn't realize it until someone else told her. So if you're watching TV in bed and want to change the channel you have to go to the living room, turn on the TV, change the channel there and go back to bed. Very weird.
Had a great time! Love the binder with places to go with turn by turn directions. Only thing I didn't like was that in the game room it wasn't a full length curtain on the window. But I will be back! !
We had an amazing time! Sweet romantic wedding and a relaxing and peaceful honeymoon. The cabin and grounds were beautiful and perfect! We were married on the front porch over looking the water. Bridgett was the most pleasant lady and made sure that we were taken care of and performed the perfect ceremony. Just what we wanted. This place goes out of there way to make sure you have the perfect getaway. Highly recommend. Can't wait to go back for our anniversary. Thank you so much for the most memorable time
I still have fond memories of our quaint, Grandpa's Cabin. My husband surprised me on our 10 year anniversary back in January. I'm usually freaked out about staying at places away from home for fear of bed bugs, etc. I'm the first to always check the bed as soon as I go in a place. Our cabin was pristine and the hot tub was clean and in great shape. They had the cutest decor for the place with even the smallest detail, like antler handles for the cabinets and a trash can in the shape of a log. We stayed for 2 nights and it was just a wonderful time. The lady who owned the place was so pleasant when we called her to tell her that we left our food in the microwave and locked ourselves out. We didn't need the food. We just wanted to give her a head's up, but she was kind enough to offer to come down and open it up for us as we were leaving. We highly recommend these cabins!
