Great place for meetings. Bar food not bad at all. Great specials. A mixture of sport bar and old school causal.

The Anchor is a dirty old neighborhood bar full of pictures of the famous people that have passed through it and the area. Very busy and friendly staff topped only by the best burgers in the vicinity. I love coming here, but man does it need to be cleaned thoroughly.

Good hole in the wall. Good food for a good price. Always smiling when when we show up in costume for our convention.

Waited quite awhile SITTING AT THE BAR before we were even noticed. The staff was more busy counting the till and their tips than waiting on customers. When we ordered the bartender got one of the drinks wrong and rolled her eyes when we said we would just keep it anyway. I wouldn’t ever come back or stay for more than one drink.

Nice mix of patrons, good food, local and imported beers, pool tables, separate meeting room in back.

First off they serve ice cold George Killian's Irish Red! Second they have billiards. Also I think they serve delicious food however I came her to get drunk/play billiards in a comfortable atmosphere That's it. Mission accomplished! And yes they have tons of Red Wing flare on the walls including but not limited to signed hockey sticks! Also they have a very kool newspaper article with Kirk Gibson on the page talking about the World Series in 1984 where the the Tigers beat the Padre's! I remember that series and collected those trading from the era. Bottom line The Anchor Bar is basically similar to the Hockey town Cafe with a few exceptions 1 this place has a pulse!2 this place feels comfortable as opposed to the aforementioned establishment Also you may not like everyone here but at least we are not here to impress anyone I get the opposite feeling at the other place. Bottom line skip Hockey town Cafe and go to Anchor Bar unless you want to be seen wearing your favorite Red Wing player uniform than u are where u should be.

Cool place. I sometimes get a drink here while I'm waiting on the bus. It's a decent menu, fair prices and good service. It's usually the same crowd every time I go in there. I think most of the patrons that go here work for the newspaper or something.

Great craft selection, food is usually great as long as the grease is fresh and has a "Cheers" like enviroment as there are a lot of regulars.

Love this place. Food is so so, but the experience and atmosphere is great for wings games! Plus you got to love the bus ride to and from the game, fun and convenient.

Food was great, service left a bit to be desired. Reeked of cigarettes, there was a lady smoking in the front room and there were multiple cigarette butts in the bathroom

Went here before a Red Wings game, very busy. We ordered boneless buffalo wings, nothing else, and took over 30 minutes to come out. When they did come, they didn't have any sauce on them! It even took a few minutes before we could get someone to bring us sauce. They were very crunchy on the outside. At that point, we were worried about being late to the game. Great place to pour down a few beers before the game, but that's it. Rest rooms were clean. I won't be back.

Come here for hockey and a beer, enjoy great food. This place is a go to grab a drink or a burger. The food is wonderful and better than you would expect for a place that looks this way.
A great staff and a great place to enjoy the hockey game. Make sure you are cheering on the Red Wings or you will get crap from the other fans :)
