The stay was nice the beds were comfortable the first room we had though had to stand on the sheets they gladly change this rooms and said that they would talk to the staff of very nice and polite
Very nice hotel. Much better than other surrounding options. Friendly staff, and clean room. That's what matters!
Awesome place.. updated, clean, and so inviting when you walk in the lobby.. smelled like my grandmother house with the cookies they had out.
One of the loveliest hotels you will find. The owner takes a very personal pride in the service and ambience of her hotel.
Fantastic place to stay. Where ever I travel I'll stay at AmericInn if I can. And I always do in Princeton Illinois. Over the course of the past 8 years I've stayed there close to 40 times. It's like coming home and seeing family each time.
Nicest hotel in Princeton. It is 2x the price as other hotels in the city, but worth it. The pool is indoor but maintained. Rooms are very nice and friendly service.
Great place. Clean, cabin atmosphere. Great service. Nice surprise on this business trip.
Most importantly, the room was clean and comfortable. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean. Convenient location off the highway. Really nice front desk people. Breakfast was very good. We would stay there again.
I was to meet someone in Princeton and we decided to meet at the AmericInn. I walked in and was asked if they could help. I mentioned I was just meeting someone there. They asked if I or the other person was a guest? No. So they kicked me out! I couldn't even wait for the person I was to meet. And this was both the front desk person and a manager.
I've never been treated so inhospitably by any hotel, ever, and I've held interviews in many a hotel lobby. There must be some reason there were no cars in the parking lot and no guests milling about. I hope they are at least going out of business to account for their attitudes
Friendly staff, nice pool area. Breakfast was a little lacking but it's free so no complaining! the rooms were clean and up to date. Nice workout area. Few fast food joints within walking distance.
Rude---Unfriendly Staff, Overpriced, and they charge per person in room so price you get on phone might not be the one you get if you have an additional guest..and we rented over 20 rooms for a wedding---and boy if you want your Military Discount you better make sure you have your Military ID! Go stay somewhere else, this is not worth it
Clean, bug free, comfortable, priced right.
As a business traveler, I hardly ever stay at "off brand, economy hotels." Not because I'm a snob, or anything, but basically when you travel alot, there are certain standards & amenities that you come to expect. Frequent travelers need hasel free, drama free, comfortable accommodations. Often times economy accommodations attract the non business types that pack 2 adults & 4 children into the room next to you, and make it difficult to work, and relax.
This place was recommended by the sales rep that I had come to town to work with. He said that it was recently remodeled and nice. So, on his word, I gave it a try.
The property presented well from the outside. Clean and well maintained appearance. Upon entering, it also presented we, being clean, organized, and comfortable.
The front desk staff was pleasant, and got me checked in quickly.
The room was ok. The furnishings were of the economy type, but were in good condition. The room passed my major inspection items; bed bug free, clean, quiet, and somewhat comfortable.
The bedding was nice, and the mattress was comfortable. The pillows were not great.
The towels were medium soft, and there was an adequate amount. I was pleasantly surprised by the soaps, lotions, and shampoo that they provided. I don't use them, because I bring my own, but usually "economy hotels" don't provide nice toiletries. The shower was nice, clean shower curtain and liner, good water pressure, and plenty of hot water.
The television was on the smaller side, had a decent picture, sluggish remote, and there wasn't a plethora of stations. It was adequate.
Breakfast was fair. The reconstituted yellow egg circles and similarly sized mystery sausages looked recent, cause I don't think you can call them fresh. All of the breads and bagels were individually factory wrapped, which means loaded with artificial flavors and preservatives. Pouches of instant oatmeal, without hot water present, & canned fruit. I'm striking out so far. They did have the atypical do it yourself waffle batter and waffle irons. So, I skipped breakfast. This might be ok for a causal traveler, but not for me.
Because the agency that I was working with had an arrangement with the hotel for $79 a night. Online with AAA discount, it was $110.
So to summarize, bug free, clean, comfortable economy lodging, for people that don't like breakfast.
Ill stay here again next time I'm in town if I can get it for$79. If not I'll stay at the Peru Hampton inn.
Safe travels my friends.
We got the whirlpool suite and it was amazing. It also had the best continental breakfast I've ever had. I wish I was waking up there this morning as well.
We stopped here on our way to a Notre Dame football game. Nice room, pool and hot tub. Yummy breakfast. Staff was super nice. Such a positive experience we stopped on our way back and had a room with fireplace and bubblie tub. Definitely will go back!
Nice atmosphere comfortable rooms. Breakfast open till 10a included a waffle machine, cereal, eggs, bacon, coffee, orange/apple juice. There was also an indoor pool available for use. It's right next to the Walmart so if you need anything it's right there.
