We currently have a wood and a gas fireplace in our home. With this visit to their showroom we are planning to get another gas fireplace.
We have an Alpine fireplace in our home that we built 6 years ago and have loved it. A year ago we refinished the tile surrounds and unfortunately the guy wasn’t paying attention so once he was done the bottom door didn’t fit on the fireplace anymore! I took the old part to Alpine’s headquarters in Lehi and they built me a custom sized new door that works great! The best part - they didn’t even charge me for it! This is called taking care of the customer and I’m now a customer for life. Thanks guys!
Just had Casey leave my house after fixing my gas fireplace. The fireplace hasn't worked in the 4+ years we have lived here. He showed up exactly on time, answered my 150 questions about gas fireplaces since I am clueless on them, cleaned and serviced it, and didn't absurdly charge me. He put blankets and paper towels down as he disassembled my fireplace to keep everything clean and tidy. Really happy with the service we received.
We initially thought we'd need to replace an old fireplace in our home. One of the sales reps came out and looked it over and suggested a simple tune up should be sufficient. Literally saved us thousands and we greatly appreciated it. We will use them again! Our service technician was Dan and he did a great job.
I love the fireplace but the customer service was less than desired. I called a rep to purchase but recieved no call back. We had to drive to the office. We purchased it and set up an install date. They changed the date and came without notifying us. On the date we called them when they didn't show up and we were told they had already came and we need to set up another appointment for weeks later. They came and installed but wouldn't put the trim in until the brick was done. I called to ask if the trim covered the edge but they couldn't tell me. We finished the brick. I scheduled the final install only to have them move the date again and comeagain and not call us.. again. They came and installed the trim that is inset and DOES NOT cover any gaps. Why it couldn't have been installed with the fireplace? I do not know. The installer was very helpful and showed me how to pop it out when fixing the gaps. Love the product. Very beautiful.
They are the best! I will never go anywhere else! Knowledgeable, friendly and want your business for life!
I am very impressed with this company. They helped us out with the fireplace issues we were having, but were so nice in doing so. These guys know their stuff and I can’t endorse their wonderful customer service enough.
If we could ever get them to return our calls, we might give them a better review. We have called at least three times, several weeks between calls, and they NEVER respond. Disappointed.
I was having some problems with my Alpine fireplace staying lit. I like to try and fix things myself before i get help, so I went to the Lehi location because it has a parts department. Greg Russon helped me trouble shoot my fireplace. He was extremely helpful and very friendly. He sold me the parts that I needed with an explanation on how to change them out .
My fireplace is now working. Greg made this a positive experience.
Disappointing! Alpine Fireplaces will no longer sell or install gas logs during the fall or winter months. They will only install gas inserts with blowers. If you are looking to convert your wood burning fireplace to gas and only want the logs then you are out of luck and need to use a different company. This policy change is new this year. We will be shopping elsewhere.
Great showroom with many working units. V knowledge staff, prices clear and reasonable
Super busy on a Saturday. Couldn't get to anyone.
Top notch fireplaces and the installers are the best
Our experience with Alpine was mixed (read to the end). We recently purchased an Envy 45" fireplace as part of an entertainment center project. Alpine helped us with the install, framing, and tile. They recommended that we complete all finish work before firing up the unit. Once everything was in place, including a nice set of built-in cabinets (concealing the flue), they returned to light the unit. To our horror, the flame looked sickly and kept snuffing itself out. Eventually, it was determined that the flue was installed incorrectly. Obviously a tremendous disappointment, as the flue was totally inaccessible at this point. We thought, "How could they botch the install? Aren't they supposed to be the professionals? If there was any question, the fireplace should have been tested much earlier." In the end, it was necessary to disassemble the cabinetry, modify the flue, modify the cabinetry, reinstall the cabinetry, and troubleshoot a still-blue flame. After all that, we finally have a beautiful fireplace with a strong, healthy flame! When you run into big problems like this, it's interesting to see how a company responds. Alpine did not try to wriggle out of their mistake. They moved swiftly and accepted financial responsibility for the necessary modifications. We were impressed by their integrity, kindness, and patience throughout the project. A personal thank you to Payton, Jeremy, Justin, and Dan. We love how everything turned out!
They came and fixed my gas fireplace when it quit working. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Good service.
Greg in the warehouse was extremely helpful. Was very knowledgeable about the exact part i needed. He had it picked out ready to go when i got there. Took the the time to explain to me what i needed and why. Will definitely use them for future fireplace needs.
The worst customer service I have ever had!
I went in looking for a fireplace. I had someone come out and give me an estimate on a couple of ones I liked there to get an idea of what I was looking at. I continued to look at different options Alpine had to offer and some other companies. I went to all their locations because I had been told each location had a different configuration for the fireplace I wanted and I wanted to see if I wanted to do rocks, or logs. They became offended and upset at me for going to their other locations and to other companies to see what other options I had. The first sales rep I worked with warned all their other sales staff not to help me because he felt like I was “price shopping” and never bothered to ask why I had been to the other locations (not that it should have mattered).
When I called to talk to the owner about my experience he was completely rude and would not even listen to my side of the story! He told me they make over a million dollars a month and basically implied that losing my sale wouldn’t matter to them. He was so rude he made me cry and it wasn’t until I started crying that he showed even the littlest bit of remorse but still never apologized for how I was treated
We decided not to go with them because of how we were treated. When I went to look for a different fireplace and every customer I ran into and talked to said they had, had the same experience of them being rude and that was why they were not using them either. Not only did they lose my sale, but my sister’s also, who was going to order from them as well.
