My wife and I used to use Alford Tire and then they changed management. It sucked. But now they have switched again and for the better! They are better than ever!! Chris is the man!! Gave me a ride home so they could repair my car. He explained all the repairs I detail and for someone who is mechanically challenged, I understood everything he said!! He went to great lengths to make sure I understood not only the charges but what was done to my vehicle and how it affected the safety of operating my vehicle. I had a defective tire that was patched by another tire place who didn't even mention anything about the bad tire or why my tire light kept coming on the dash!! We will not only continue to use them but would advise anyone to go there!!

I used to go here and left due to the last manager thinking women were idiots who didn't know a thing or two about cars and simple mechanics. The new staff has restored my beliefs of this place. Will definitely be going back for any job I need done in my cars!! Chris is the bomb and never once made me feel inadequate!! Way to go Alford Tire!! I will definitely recommend this place to others as well!!

Brought my company car in a few weeks ago for an oil change and tire rotation. The owner Chuck Alford took great care of me and didn't push any unneeded services on me and was able to get my car done in less than 45 minutes. What was really cool was they cleaned up my wheels and put tire shine on them!!! Never had something like that done before, just cool.

I've used this shop for several years last two times the same person did his sell speech about the thousand of dollars worth of work my vehicle needed. Both times it was bogus .
For an average female without a mechanical aptitude you are nothing but a walking source for money. I only use them for tires but even that I will be going elsewhere. They also attempted to keep my 33 Mickey Thompson tire I requested back as it has plenty of tread left just wanted the set installed to match. When I looked to see they didn't place it back in my truck bed and asked for it back it was conveniently placed in the shop as the other tires with no tread left were disposed of. Don't waste your money or time.

I went to Alford tire center today to have a tire patched. My experience was amazing! I had tried 2 Walmart locations and 3 pep boy locations in which I was either given a very short and rude response on wait times or I waited 15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged my presence. Not only did Chris take amazingly good care of my vehicle, he was extremely courteous and informative on my tire concern. I was in and out within 20 minutes. If you are in or around the area check them out they are amazing!!! Thank you Alford tire center team.

I have been a loyal customer for almost 20 years but recently their customer service, attitude, and lack of caring has been shameful. Took my truck for a fuel filter change after coordinating with the manager last week and even though they only had one customer he basically refused to change the fuel filter after a myriad of excuses from too busy to computer is down(i.e, computer is down, don't have a fuel filter for a common Ford Ranger and have to order oneblah blah..every excuse in the book). Turned around and went to "ALVIE'S Auto Repair & Tires", where they replaced the fuel filter in less then 20 minutes at a FRACTION OF THE COST of what Alford's Manager or Chief Mechanic quoted me a week ago and even last week noticed angry customers leaving Alford Tire Center. DON'T GO THEREit's no longer the same affable and affordable shop.
PROS: Clean waiting room, good location. CONS: Poor customer service, very expensive, lack of caring, smoking in the premises by chief mechanic, overall quality of service is vastly inferior to previous years with no sign of improving.

Second time coming here.Best service station for all of your needs within the Tyndall AFB area. They Balanced my tires properly after I had them done wrong by different shop in the local area, thus preventing me from having to buy brand new tires like I thought I would have to. This is twice now where they have saved me $$ by being diligent and honest. What you might pay for in a few bucks extra for their services will actually be cheaper in the longer run since they are not scamming you and actually doing the work they say.

I have been taking my truck to Alford Tire Center for over 10 years due to their excellent automotive service and to this day I haven't had to return my vehicle for repeat problems. Chris Turner was specially helpful by going out of his way to ensure my vehicle was properly and promptly repaired. I will gladly continue to do business with these fine automotive experts. I have been doing business with Alford's for a number of years now and have always been extremely satisfied with the service I have received. They are all so very friendly, efficient, honest, and capable. Everyone from the service desk personnel, the mechanics, and the service techs, they are all so very patient in explaining exactly what is wrong, how to fix it, and then give a quote that is very reasonable. I know I have been fortunate to find a very rare commodity in Alford's. an honest, reliable, efficient, place to have my car serviced and repaired. They always seem to go above and beyond what is called for and I appreciate them all the more for it. I highly recommend Alford's because once you try them, you will never need or want to take your vehicle anywhere else.
