    NO STARS
Long story short I got my Maxie boy from a man who abused him. He's the sweetest pup in the world but he's simply not good around other animals and has problems containing his energy WHICH I INFORMED THEM PRIOR TO HIS APPOINTMENT ABOUT I took him into Alder trails vet for a checkup and to get his nails trimmed.
Never have I had issues here UNTIL I brought in my pitbull boxer mix. Max was barking and The vet came in extremly mad and said he would never touch my dog and that no vet ever would. Then proceeded to cuss at me, tell me my dog has no hope and that if anything he belongs in a junk yard.
NEVER have I met someone so extremely rude and judgemental towards pits in the veterinary field. After looking through reviews he simply hates pitbulls. My dog is my whole life and it breaks my heart that someone would treat such a loveable breed of dog like that . ☹

Our dog was having seizures went in and the only did a blood test said it was a pitbull thing and to call the next day with a progress update went to another vet they tol is in 15 min that it was a brain tumor and that we would be lucky if she made it through the night. These people are a joke go anywhere else you will be better off

This place was horrible. I refuse to take my dog there ever again. All he cares about is the money. I took my pit bull in because she had broken out in a bad rash, the receptionists were awesome and the vet assistants were cool too, but the vet was nothing but rude. He came into the room with no care and startled me dog, then began telling me I am a bad owner because my dog growled at him. Protecting me (as her job as my service animal is to do) he asked me to muzzle her so I did. Then after she was muddled he started grabbing her and throwing her around and kicking her. Without any care. If I, as the owner, had been seen doing what he did to my dog what he did to her I would be arrested for animal abuse. Then I got one shot and some pills from him and it was almost $300. Don't go here!!!

I've gone here before and this place is pretty good. Having said that, I just called to make an appointment for my two pugs. One is a current patient there; the other has some sort of records at another hospital. I was just asked by their (Alder) staff to call the old vet (who has the pug under the old owner's name) and have them fax the information to them. NowI understand I should have this info as well and the health of my pugs are ultimately my responsibilitybut I really don't think it's my job to do their job for them. That's front office responsibility.but this is my opinion and my review.

Just took my two Chi's in for a 'new patient' intake visit and primary exams. They both were very comfortable with the staff and the vet. He took his time and answered questions. Was very thorough and thoughtful. Discussed medication options and suggestions for future visits. Was given a discount for Military. I will certainly go back here for future needs for my boys!
