Small airport lacking the character that makes this city and state great.
PROS
- Pretty easy to move around the airport as there is not much to it.
- A really great coffee and breakfst cafe there.
- Some authentic shops to get a last taste of New Mexico before leaving.
CONS
- Lots of construction being done in an unsafe manner for travellers. Wires hanging down everywhere, actually hot work being done with nothing blocked off.
- Most of the floors escalators out of order.
- Not a great selection of restaurants.
- Service here is a bit aloof and haphazardly done.
Overall
It gets the job done, but definitely feel it is missing some TLC and leadership here.response / report this review -

Only took one star because remodle is underway. I have always loved this airport. Short security waits and TSA is extremely friendly.
They have a great coffee shop a and b terminal entrance. Staff in all shops are very friendly. I have been through most all US international airports and this is by far one of my favorites.response / report this review -

A very nice airport. Clean and cozy. Just the right size - similar to Austin. Nice staff and people. Cool souvenir stores and a cool architecture / design that resembles that of New Mexico as a whole.

Nice small airport. Easy and fast to get around. Plenty of parking. Lots of restaurants and small stores but beware: they literally roll up the side walks by 9pm. If you have a later or delayed flight even finding water can be a problem. Comfortable and roomy however. Very clean and well maintained. Easy access.

The Sunport is a well designed medium sized airport with all the amenities a traveler would expect at this time. While the restaurants are not eclectic like those in some airports, they are still good. The gift shops offer a wide array of New Mexico themes apparel, foods and ticky-tack.
There is a wonderful observation deck on the second floor, a quiet place to relax and watch the planes. I'm sure children will enjoy this too.
Security lines were minimal and the officers friendly.
Car rentals are all off site but there are frequent, 24 hour shuttles. Those which I rode were clean and new, with friendly drivers and loudspeakers which were clear and understandable unlike in many shuttles elsewhere.
My only complaint, and it is a small one, is that the airport did not have water refill stations and I had to fill our bottles from drinking fountains.response / report this review -

A fine medium-size airport. When I went through in 2017 food lines were long and the security point took extra time even though I was in the expedite line. Also, more than half of the check-in kiosks seemed to be broken or out of service. When we arrived there was a long wait for sites to the car rental facility. On the other hand, the restaurant in front has decent New Mexico chilis.

Not a very clean airport. The lack of anti-microbial mats also makes for a great experience with tons of people walking during the summertime in sweaty sandals (the TSA area seems like a petri-dish of New Mexican foot fungus). I would avoid it if at all possible, as even a complaint about the lack of sanitation to their local health department (about a bloody band aid in the floor where people were asked to walk shoeless) was met with a lame duck response. Think of an unkempt gas station bathroom on Breaking Bad and you'll get a picture of what I think of the airport's overall commitment to sanitation.

Good airport with convenient flights and spacious terminal with a good observation deck for watching aircraft and aircraft viewing areas on the east and southwest sides of the airport. My only complaint is that the wifi connection is spotty at best kept getting logged off.

Absolutely worst airport I've ever been to. I'm a women with a 2 and a half year old so my fiancé had to make numerous trips to get food etc.. while sitting by myself with my baby waiting for jet blues desk to open, male staff including police and janitors in groups were making me feel uncomfortable and unsafe alone. Absolutely never flying in or out of this place again.

Great airport. Has a nice reflection of the vibe of New Mexico for when people land. The layout of the airport is nice and is easy to navigate. The bathrooms are fairly clean and kept up. The staff here is great and I have never had an issue.

This is probably my favorite airport in the Southwestern US. Great staff everywhere, love the 3rd floor observation room in the terminal. If you like plane spotting, arrive early and you will love the view!

This is a small airport and super easy to get around. There is no lounge but if you need to relax and have time to kill, take the elevator up to the second floor between gates a and B, there are comfy couches to take a nap and a view of the tarmac.

The airport is very nice and is my family's go to airport to get pretty much anywhere. Since I live in the isolated mountains of Los Alamos, a 2 hour drive beats 6+ hours to the nearest large airport and it almost is like a "Welcome Home!" after a long trip. Also the food is great.

The best Airport. Reasonable size so you're not walking from one side of Earth to the other. Incredibly tidy. Friendly faces everywhere. Super fast wifi.

Usually very quick and easy getting in and out. Only during major events like Balloon Fiesta does it bottleneckI was able to check my bag at the ticket counter and clear security checkpoint in about 15 minutes this time. It's relatively small, so getting from gate to gate is simple.
There are a variety of airport bars and fast-casual eating options. Additionally, there are multiple newsstands and gift shops.
I like this airport because it gets me out of Albuquerque. I also like this airport because it brings me back ;)response / report this review
