First even though I am paying taxes for this place they would not let me take out a book. I think this is a outdated waste of money. I pay and they say i can not use the services

My children 10yr and 3yr love going into the children's section on the second floor. Great selection for their ages.

I take my son to their story time two to three times a week. The librarians are very helpful and always greet you with a smile. They are great during story time.

Who doesn't love the local library? A wide range of books are available for people of all ages. Come in and check out the catalogue, I guarantee there is something for you. They have movies, audiobook and ebooks for loan in addition to DVD movies. They also have an event calendar with talks on a range of topics. Live music in the summer time too. Def. worth checking out!

Amazing place for people to read, study and work. The art and music programming is excellent. It's in downtown Albany, so it's not quiet.

Library obsession aside, it was awesome to go to a place I'd seen in movies and shows all of my life. And it did not disappoint. Gorgeous marble columns, walls and floors. Tall ceilings and elaborate chandeliers. There was also an art exhibit about Marie and Pierre Curieart, science and books. I almost lost it.
