These esteemed people misdiagnosed my cat. They did refund my money, however once much cat went into diabetic failure and they made an emergency appointment with me on a weekend, they called back and cancelled it enough route to their practice. My cat almost expired. Most ethical vets would stabilize the animal until you could see emergency or your cet, but not these individuals. They held the fact that I requested my money back for their original misdiagnosis against me in a time of
crisis for my pet. There is a special place in Hello for health professionals like this. AVOID like the plague.

Scammers. They figured my dog was a show dog and seriously jacked up the prices for a routine dental cleaning. Ended up going down the road to Slibgerlands and guess what? 1/10th the cost for the EXACT SAME PROCEDURE. Avoid this place at all costs. Very rude and disrespectful receptionists and vet techs.

Everyone there was absolutely amazing. They have been so great to my cat (a former stray who had a few different issues). It was clear they cared less about my business/money and WAY, WAY more about the health of my pet! It was so great to have a vet and an entire staff that were so wonderful!!!!

When Dr. Jarvis acquired Albany County Veterinary Hospital we followed her there, even though it was a much further ride for us. She and her staff are the only veterinary personnel with whom we trust the care of our much loved dog. When we travel we know our pet will be cared for with no worries, in a clean, loving and safe environment. For all vetrerinary needs, Albany County Veterinary will deliver top quality care for your pet!

Best vet we've had! Wish I would have found this place sooner! I have tried numerous vets in the capital district and I think Albany Country Vet Hospital clearly stands above the others in terms of their service, expertise and value/cost. Dr. Pokorny and the staff there are knowledgeable, friendly and very attentive to their patients. I recently brought in my older cat who was very sick and near death; they hospitalized him, worked to properly diagnose him, did a great job caring for him and were able to turn his condition around completely. They made sure to explain everything to me along the way and were very patient with me and all of my questions. I also appreciated that they did not pressure me into any services. Regular exams, boarding and a spay for my kitten have also gone very well! I recommend Dr. Pokorny to all of my friends with pets.

We loved Albany County Veterinary Hospital! They were warm, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. Dr. Jarvis has an easy 'bedside' manner that made both me and my pets feel comfortable. She is very patient and I felt she was genuinely concerned for my pets health. The staff on a whole was professional and caring. We called a few times with concerns and they gave great council over the phone, too! We have since moved out of the area but I would recommend them to anyone in Albany!
