Google introduced my mom, sister and me to David and Linda at Adventures Perdido River and they were such a great find! We were able to camp and get transported to the beginning of the kayak run. The river was way up from all the rain but my sister and I were determined to get on the Perdido. David did voice his concern and made sure that we knew that the river did not usually look like it did and gave us some safety pointers. The four hour run only took us about an hour and a half. David and Linda were so accommodating and very nice to work with. We would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting to have a chill time. Just communicate with them and ask questions. We appreciate them and again wanted to tell them thank you for making our first real trip out in our camper an enjoyable one!

For year's now I have had a lot of great times down here . I have met some great friends and been able to bring my family down to make great memories. David and Linda Venn are really good folks and I personally consider them more than friends. If anyone wants to find a place to enjoy themselves and the outdoors, this is it. They have great canoe trips, tubing, kayaking,or if you just want to go swimming. Definitely a good time.

Dave and Raleigh are always loud, belligerent drunks. especially Raleigh!
Don't recommend going here where someone could literally be coldhearted if you happen to have distress or a medical emergency I've seen it happen.
Go somewhere else for your money. Don't support people who aren't polite, friendly, etc.
If you LIKE being around a loud drunk making a scene and harassing people, be my guest and support them with your money.
(Dave claims I have some ulterior motive and it's 'unknown reasons'. If it was a personally-made review one reason would be charging people money and sending them next door to private property That has NOTHING to do with my review. I'm referring to how Dave's son Raleigh threatens with a gun then pulls a knife on people, always drunk, threats are yelled, and vulgarities and obscenities are hollered across the fence line in front of children!
This has absolutely nothing to do with the dispute which is over you trying to claim property over a property line and control how someone else handles their private property. These are all my personal observations, Dave).
How about you control your son and get rid of the gun around a felon? Stop hollering across a fence line at neighbors? Stop calling cops on neighbors when no laws or ordinances are being broken? How about Y'all all *Grow Up* Y'all weren't the ones to jump in for the drowning either Everyone at my family's property was. Dave asking why didn't I jump in myself I would've had I been there when the man went under Sadly I showed up afterwards. Dave closed the door in a person's face when he was notified a customer of his was drowning.
    Good try though.

According to the review by Tony Alias, Adventures Perdido River is owned by Will and Hannah. Not true. It is owned by David and Linda Venn. Will and Hannah own another canoe rental. Moreover, we don't "lure" people in with Groupon since we don't do Groupon here. Would you like to apologize for your mistake, Tony? As for our business being "sketchy", I don't know how this word applies to a canoe rental business, especially one that has been in business for 37 years at the same location. Also, two different reviewers using the word "sketchy" seems a little strange. In response to other negative reviews, we have made mistakes and when we do we make amends. Still, if we are doing such a poor job of managing the business, how is it that we have been able to stay in business for 37 years? We think that many if not most or all of these negative comments are intended for another business. Last of all, almost anyone (even a fictitious person) can put up almost anything (true or not) in a review about a business. Although i read reviews I always keep this in mind. Thanks for reading this. David Venn co-owner Adventures Perdido River

Always a great time. Love the soft white sand, shallow riverbank for the kids, rope swing and scenery for kayaking or tubing! Friendly service from Mr. Dave! Defiantly my favorite destination.

Please just go at your own risk. First of all it's in a sketchy place. It's cheap, you get your money's worth. I get that, but it's sketchy. Secondly, when you go tubing you're loaded isnide of a complete strangers pick up trick that also looks sketchy. There's hardly any rules so if you're planning to go while it's raining, or has been raining and the water is high I would advise you don't because your tube is more than likely to run into fallen trees and you'll tip over into the water and damn near drown if you can't swim. When you make it to the end nobody is there to greet you. please just don't go there. Please I'm begging you.
