I was introduced to Dr. Corrigan from a NBA that broke both my ulna and radius. Awesome Dr and awesome staff. Very polite. Able to get in and out. I am set to have hardware removed from Dr Bollinger. Another awesome Dr and his staff as well. Love this place.
Top notch establishment. Everyone was extremely helpful, courteous and gave us their full attention. Highly recommend!
If your looking for quality care I highly recommend AOA ! The staff is very kind & compassionate! This is a group of top notch trustworthy Orthopedic Doctors !!
My appointment with Advanced Orthopedic Associates was August 14, 2017. My Blue Cross insurance has a $25 office visit co-pay. I was VERY surprised when receptionist ask me for $175. I told her my co-pay was only $25. She told me that because my insurance deductible was $1,500, I had to pay up front! Gosh, a $1,500 deductible isn't too shabby these daysas you know there are plans with MUCH greater deductibles.. I even complained to the doctor but it was no use. I had our insurance person, at work, contact Blue Cross and sure enough, we have an annual Lab & X-Ray benefit that covered the entire office visit. Our insurance specialist then called Advanced Orthopedics and talked to a girl in the business office. She said any refund would be paid at the END OF SEPTEMBER. The bimbo told us (hold your nose before you read the next quote and read out loud with a sarcastic tone). "We only write refund checks once a month" . What BS! As an accountant, I know full well that companies can write checks when ever they want to. My Blue Cross benefit statement, shows my entire bill was paid (except for my $25) on 08/22/17 . NOTEthis office virtually turns you upside down to shake the change out of your pockets BUT when it comes to repaying you, the customer, they use STALL AND DELAY TACTICS that make you wait months to get your refund!!! So now I don't get my $150 back UNTIL A MONTH AND HALF after the office visit. This doctors office USES YOUR MONEY as long as they can while delaying any refund. It's the most pitiful customer service I have encountered in some time. The managing physician is HARRY MORRIS. Write this doc and complain!! These b-holes have probably cost themselves a knee replacement customer due to their treating patients like common thieves. They will turn you upside down for payment, then STALL THE REFUND after your insurance pays. These people are extremely disappointing. There are MANY other orthopedic doctors in Wichita that treat their customers with RESPECT and refund their customers promptly.
My experience with my physician was unpleasant. I went to AOA a year ago as a young teenager and my physician made me upset and feel uncomfortable. All she seemed to do was interrogate me. She did not give me any helpful information and I ultimately left AOA making no progress with my scoliosis. I'm no longer a patient there because I didn't find my time enjoyable and comfortable.
Worst place to go! They did not care that my husband reinjuried his shoulder 4 months after surgery. They didn't do any tests to see what happened to his shoulder when he reinjured it. Doctors are suppose to care about their patients, Dr. Hearon and his assistant were rude and heartless. Go anywhere but Advanced Orthopaedic Association!!!
Only doing 4 stars at the current moment because I've only been in once. I arrived 1/2 an hour early to be safe. The receptionist was rude about my insurance and how it wasn't allowed and I couldn't be seen (when I had cleared it previously while scheduling my appointment) I was at the office over 3 hours and over half of that I'd say was just waiting. I do understand that it is a busy office so I am not too upset about it. The nurses, PA's and doctor Janson were all very nice doctor Janson didn't do anything to cause me more pain (which I am very greatfull) I just wish we could have gotten an MRI and results sooner so I can be out of pain sooner and that I would have asked for something to help with the pain lol overall so far I do not like reception or the wait but I like the rest.
Clearly, it depends on what physician and-or PA you deal with in determining whether a person's experience was good or poor. DON'T lump them all together! Dr. Naomi Shields was terrific, both last year at the time of my pre-op, through surgery, and recovery; and has been quite articulate now, in follow-up. Her staff has likewise been quite good. Dr. Shields' communication was great -- always. Yup, I too had to wait. I ALSO had met with Dr. Harry Morris a couple of years ago. His assessment was very helpful in determining what I did NOT have; very clear, good communication and much less wait time. If there is a bad apple in the group, I've not dealt with them. Front desk was very helpful as well.
Avoid this firm at all costs. And beware of leaving honest negative reviews if you are a patient here. I left a review on fb in which I rated this establishment 1 star due to extended wait times and lack of communication. I was called shortly after by Dr Hearon to follow up on the review. I was bullied, threatened, and called condescending names because of it. I approached the desk early enough to fill out paperwork. I broke my right index finger pretty bad, and was unable to write. I was asked to fill out a small handful of papers, and no help was offered. Fine. My fault for not asking. Shortly after filling them out I was assured someone would be right out to see me. I waited approximately 1.5 hrs to be called back. I was then placed in another room where I waited approximately another .5 hrs for the doctor to see me. The nursing staff was great and friendly, but Dr Pollock came in with a resident and didn't greet me, gave me a very odd look as I had fallen asleep waiting, and got on his phone to look up X-ray's. He pulled them up, stated I should be okay to let it heal naturally, then stated he wanted to talk to another Dr. 5 or so minutes pass and I'm told nothing as I'm ushered to another doctors receptionist. I was asked what I needed, and I was confused as to what was happening and didnt know why I was moved, and neither did she. She was very nice and I was told to wait. I told her of my long wait previously and she told me that wasn't right that she will try to hurry the Dr. I was called back after about 40 more minutes. I met with Dr hearon fairly promptly and he seemed very cordial and respectful. We got X-ray's, discussed surgery, and I was allowed to leave. (4 hours after initial arrival).
Unhappy with the wait and lack of communication I posted a review of one star on fb. It was responded to telling me they would pass along the comments to my Dr. I commented that it was the first doctor, not the second doctor. I was shortly after contacted by an irate Dr Hearon, telling me he was very angry with me and how it was childish to "talk trash" on social media. Calling me 'kid' and telling me to remove the post. At one point he told me " I am very pissed at you Austin, and you don't piss off your surgeon". Which felt threatening. As if somehow being angry would effect the results on my surgery. But of coarse that is assumed and cannot be proven. As the conversation went on I tried to explain my side. That he in no way bothered me and it was the lack of communication, and wait time. But he insisted on taking it personally, saying things like" if you're so unhappy we will just send you somewhere else to be their problem". And telling me that a problem with his associate was a problem with him. Talking over me, calling me "kid" and acting as if what I had to say was meaningless, treating me very arrogantly. At one point he told me he would refund my account and I could just go somewhere else because I disliked the service so much. Which wasn't the problem. I repeatedly tried to explain, and one point he said " if you remove the review we can move forward". I shouldn't have to Be bullied into giving a good review or no review. I was very cordial and never once was rude during my visit. Beware. Don't leave a bad review. They will call and harass you and treat you badly, then when you refuse to do what they want, drop you as a patient. I was referred there by the emergency room, and Now I have to go find another referral, and possibly prolong my surgery, which could result in damage to my finger. I have never been treated so unprofessionally. He was acting like a child who didn't get his way. Repeatedly saying he bent over backwards for me and how he did so much for me, when it was at the request of another doctor whom, I don't know, didn't know as much, or didn't have time.. who knows. As I said, communication was nil. I would never allow such an unstable doctor to operate on me and I post a sincere beware to anyone who decides to get care at this establishment.
Absolutely the worst service ever! They first attached my records to my fathers. Contacted my parents, to inform me of upcoming appointment. When I showed up for my appointment yesterday, I had know idea who my doctor was, so I wasn't sure what pod to approach. None of my paperwork had the Doctors name on it. I arrived 20 min before my appointment as directed, waited for 40 min, for my appointment. I was going to have wrist surgery for a cyst, they cost of the surgery is about $800.00. I have great health insurance with a minimal deductible. They want to schedule a 15 min procedure with just local anesthetic, and to preform this at the KSRC, the cost of this is a little over $3,000. It jut amazes me how a place with 16 doctors on staff, and a huge building, don't utilize the space for a sterile room to perform small surgery. There is no reason why these cost need to be inflated and passed onto the patient! These doctors know first hand what Obama care has done not only to the insurance industry, but also to their profession! I'm grateful for wonderful insurance that will cover most of this procedure! But when you have other Doctors whom perform this same kind of minimal procedures in a office that 1/4 the size of your building, without making a patient and insurance company pay 3 times the cost! Please people makes sure to check around for better alternatives!
Great care I have a serious broken ankle long time in healing, just get me on my feet again
Prepare to wait atleast an hour to actually see the doctor. They tell you to arrive early then make you wait an hour to see the doctor. Horrible, pick some where else if you can.
