A truly outstanding stay. The staff was very attentive and accommodating. The food at the King Highway restaurant was excellent. I would not hesitate to comeback to the Ace the next time my schedule permits.

Hipster mecca in a yuppie town. Definitely a lot of people here to feel cool. The macrame cracks me up. What they did to an old Dennys and Howard Johnson is pretty impressive. Reasonable rates for a bourgeois motel. Service is good. Amenities are also top notch. A bit too expensive for my blood.

Stopped in for a day pass to use the pool. $20 on weekdays to lounge around a pool with a delicious restaurant serving food and drinks poolside in a vintage California venue. Great place to stop if you are bumming around palm springs for a day or two. Kid friendly.

Sheets kinda suck, other than that. It's a great place to chill. The free bikes are fun even if they are about to crumble to dust. The food is good and the bar is fun. I suggest karaoke night.

The rooms are very neat and have comfortable furnishing. Plenty of snacks and drinks to satisfy you throughout your stay. Their dinner has great foods and their pool is amazing.

Great hotel, with nice pool and bar. The rooms are not really big but the bathroom is. Very nice decoration. We enjoyed our stay even if it was a bit pricey. Staff was really nice too. Good location near downtown.

You have to go here if your in the area. Even if you just go for lunch you'll have a great time. Amazing and healthy food with a nice LA vibe. The staff there are very friendly! Definitely go check it out!

Excellent food and friendly staff at the Kings Highway. The establishment is one of a kind, within a class all it's own, and atmosphere thoughtfully crafted to encourage memorable desert evening socials. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

My friends and I enjoyed some refreshing summer cocktails at the indoor bar. I had a delightful watermelon margarita and fish tacos. Both were delicious. Service was prompt and the prices weren't too bad.

Hipster cool in the middle of the desert. The Ace Hotel in Palm Springs is a fun hotel with a lively pool scene. The rooms are basic with enough Ace Hotel touches to maintain the cool vibe. The onsite restaurant, Kings Highway, is surprisingly good (especially for breakfast). One thing to note, depending on when you're staying, the hotel might not be very family-friendly.

When Monday afternoon plans to take an out of town guest to the beach got ruined by rain, we jumped in the car and headed to the desert. Calling before hand we found that ACE offers day passes to non-hotel guest which provides access to both the pool, and spa. Upon arriving at ACE, Desire at the desk also informed us that the Day Pass fee is waived when you book a spa service.
The pool area was cute. Solid crowd for being a Monday but wasn't too busy. Full service for cocktails, beer, and food is available. Try the Cold Chicken Sandwich with fries. Thank you Raul for the great service!!
After a few cocktails and hours in the sun we opted to check out the Feel Good Spa. My friend and I booked a companion massage "Good Together." Both of our massage therapist were great, but I must rave about Alicia as she is the therapist who worked on me. Not only did she focus on my problem areas as we had discussed in our consultation, but her touch was incredible. Massage is a very personal thing and I'm quick to pick up on the energy of others. Alicia had the energy of a Reiki healer. I left the table feeling renewed (sorta how every massage should feel.) I will return for more work with Alicia !
For those looking to get out of LA for the day, or seeking a desert oasis for the weekend this is it.

Best pool in Palm Springs. Rooms are a bit on the smaller side but the beds are great. Room mini bar is stocked full of beer, wine, snacks, condoms and lube, liquor. Everything in the room can be purchased. Many of the rooms face inward towards the pool. There is a second small pool away from the crowd that is great for kids. The attached diner is one of Palm Springs best. The food is great.

For a weekend getaway - the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs needs to make your list of travel destinations ANY time of the year. So here's the story: The rain was a bummer. I asked myself, "What's a warm and fun place to visit this weekend?"
Minutes later I was online looking at places to stay and things to do in Palm Springs. I stumbled upon the Ace Hotel -- and I'm so glad I did.
Friendly staff. A very relaxing and chill environment -- I mean, look at that pool! Good food. Great drinks. And comfortable accommodations.
Bring your friends or travel solo. You won't be disappointed to make the trek. In the morning I chased dawn across the San Juanita Mountains and at nights watched the stars from the hot tub. I took lots of pictures and got some words down in a journal I kept at the time.
I went home refreshed.
I ran into a photographer who has shot for brands like Saint Laurent. He and his wife shared stories, drink, and appetizers with me. I was just getting into photography at the time, and I asked if he would like to go out and shoot, "sure he said."
Want to relax in your room and read a book; this is the spot. Want to play in the pool or read by the pool? (I did both.) Want to explore the area, it's perfectly situated. Do you crave 1960s MOD Style? Rent a bike and peddle around the neighborhoods.

I like and respect the ACE brand and what they represent. Unfortunately, after my stay in Palm Springs I like it a little less.
It felt more like a spring break camping trip or an old motel than a modern hip resort.
The room was dump, smelly, stuffy, badly lit (no windows!), badly ventilated. The bed was basically a mattress on the floor. The bed linen creased. The posters were pinned to the walls with paper clips. The curtains were aged and dirty.
The bathroom was tiny. The sinks were outside in the bedroom and right by them the mini bar. I nearly grabbed a bottle of tequila instead of the mouthwash in the morning!
I wonder how far one can push the 'hipster' label. I see we've begun to confuse cool with kitsch, retro with old and vintage with dirty
I'm aware that there are refurbishment works being carried out (and boy did we hear them in the morning!!!), but perhaps the current room rates should reflect the Current Room State?!
For $200 you can do a lot better in Palm Springs. Wait till its fully refurbished. For the time being not recommended.response / report this review
