Doctor and workers are amazing my daughter was scared at first but now loves going there they were patient with her tantrums and did all they could to make her comfortable excellent service

Dr. Akhand is a really great doctor. However, they really need to find a better way to manage the office. They should only be taking a certain amount of walk ins a day. Every single time we come here we wait 1.5-2.5 hours WITH an appt. And that is extremely long for a peds doctors office. The lady who answered the phone said “well we have an office full of kids” like HUH? Duh its a pediatric office tell me something I dont know. Im in the medical field I understand completely how it goes. But when you have an extremely sick kid sitting there for already 2 hours give us other options instead of taking us in if you know youre going to be behind. Like i said i understand there are other kids there, then manage the time better for patients instead of having a room full of sick kids waiting for X amount of hours. You literally cannot blame the parents for being impatient especially if the kids are sick and complaining. Advice: time management and more options. If it wasn’t for Dr. Akhand we would’ve switched providers already.

Dr Akhand has been my oldest son’s pediatrician since he was born in 2005 and I also have my 2nd child as his pediatrician as well. Very knowledgeable and compassionate in what she does. An excellent physician who shows compassion, patience and empathy to his patients. Both my son’s are very lucky to have him as their doctor.

Dr. Akhand is an excellent pediatrician. We live far from Bolingbrook but I prefer to drive to her because she demonstrates empathy and knows my children's health well. My big complaint is the receptionist. I'm sorry to be too judgy but she has 0 phone etiquette. Answers AP please hold and puts you on hold for a LONG time. She doens't wait for an answer before putting you on hold and some times I've had a quick yes or no question. I've had to hang up after 8 minutes and call back and she acts like I was a new caller. Also, when arriving there she looks like she rolled out of bed. This is a professional center and I truly believe that anyone working at a wellness location should look sharp, regardless if you're the doctor, nurse or receptionist.
