Just watching the movie in room 15 me and my girlfriend eating popcorn having a good time and I reach for another peice of popcorn and it was sum popcorn but with hair on it. I was done eating it from there. It was cold anyway when I received it.
The fact that you can’t get into a movie you already have purchased while under 18 after 9pm is completely absurd. It ruins this chain of theatres for parents and children alike as parents will often drop their children off at the movies for a birthday or for a night out alone and teenagers love to go to the theaters for dates. You are killing off quite a bit of clientele and I sincerely hope that this rule will be abolished soon. Otherwise an okay and fairly average theatre.
Clean. Helpful workers. I had a ticket but my friend couldnt get a to let to the same screening so they helped change my ticket to the next screening so we could see the movie together. The seats do not recline and not all the theatres are reserved seats. Lots of theatres and lots of parking so you can always find a space to park!
We went today to see Winchester which was not worth a seven bucks for the price. I couldn't believe nachos price. Maybe they should do all you can eat for the price they asking for.
AMC is always good . Saw Murder ON The Orient Express. Good , classic movie. Great cinematography, great actors. Gave 4 stars because , no recliner seats. It was my first time at this movie house. AMC spoils us I love that about them, those seats make a difference.
I have noticed the last two or three weeks that because AMC charges less on Tuesdays, they are not showing some of the new shows that have come out until evening.
. This is terrible. They are trying to make you think you are getting a good deal by watching movies you don't want to see. I guess I will find another theatre.

Good place to watch movies.. Avoid the weekend crowd .. Come on 5 buck Tuesday No 21 and up section.😢. Sad about that.. But good prices Drinks Friendly staff Clean.. No sticky seats.😝 So that's a plus..
I love this theater and I go here all the time. The lobby always has nice movie displays, the screens are nice and big, even in smaller theaters, and the chairs are comfortable. They're also good at keeping things clean. I'm not a fan of the new seating chart set-up when buying tickets, but I won't hold it against them. This is the best theater in the Independence area by far.
Great location. Good movie options. Friendly, knowledgeable, helpful staff. Good security on weekends. Love the Premier Stubs Program with free upgrades. Do they ever clean the seats? They are nasty. I am thinking they should start offering disposal seat covers.
MANAGER WAS VERY DISCOUTIOUS, had to wait in line along with 20 other people because only one cashier but when went inside 2 people tearing tickets. very disorganized operation, had 2 walk through fress tar to get in door and tar was all over the floors making them sticky.
I have been going to this theater for several years. The staff and service has always been exemplary. I have found that if you start out courteous, most staff members will bend over backwards to accommodate your request, because so many people are rude to them to begin with, age is not always a conduit to maturity (referring to the movie patrons). The seating is being updated and the IMAX experience is great. I am a Stubs member and enjoy the perks that the membership provides, such as free movies, discounts and rewards. We also enjoy the Saturday Morning movies that are only $5 bucks, for a family of four that is great price for a family activity. In regards to crying children, you are going to experience crying children in Lee Summit and Blue Springs, if you want to avoid crying children, the Alamo Draft House is for you.
AMC Independence Commons 20 is always clean and the staff are courteous and friendly. Prices are irrelevant, especially when people already know (or should know) that movies are expensive to begin with. The quality of my time spent here is worth the money.
Went tonight to see Wonder Woman, in the first place the only place they were selling tickets was at guest services inside with a line 15 people deep. No one at any window out front where you normally by tickets. I have been to this location probably 100 times always taken my ice tea QT cup in never even a question. Tonight they made me throw it away and made my nephew throw away his sealed bottle of water. They were extremely rude especially the greeter that wouldn't take out tickets till it was thrown away. The only signage they could present was an easel sign at guest services no signage on windows or at the ticket booths stating no outside food or beverage. They also wouldn't take student IDs for my students only college which has never been the case either. I think a new manager is at the location and maybe these are policies that have never been enforced but what I can promise is I will never be back.
YOU HAVE LOST my Business as well as my families.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE STAFF.
Blue Springs 8 here we come!
We absolutely LOVE this theater. The employees are polite and helpful. The theater is always clean and conveniently located to other venues. This is my go place to relax and enjoy a great movie.
