Service was good but food flavor was not what I was expecting from a peruvian place
Ordered from them twice. First time it was excellent and on time. Ordered from them today. Called them 20 minutes after delivery time and was told my options were to wait an additional 30 additional minutes plus for my chicken to arrive or cancel my order.
This might not be the best Peruvian food out there, but it's the best in Pittsburgh by far
Great Peruvian food
The first order was fine, but the second time, they messed up a simple request ("sauce on the side"). This was a delivery order, and when we asked that they replace the entree or refund it because it was swimming in sauce, THEY REFUSED (!). They refused even though we could prove that they screwed up the order. Maybe this is a fine place to eat-in, when you can send the order back, but we'll definitely never order from them again. And, let's be honest: That's just unacceptable treatment of your customers, period.
Peruvian enough to for the Peruvians (like me) but also something for everyone. Good food, nice people. :)
I love AJ's. It's a very nice place that serves great food at affordable prices.
This is as Peruvian as it gets in Pittsburgh. The flavors are quite not there yet for lack of ingredients but it is much better than other "Peruvian" restaurants that offer a small Peruvian selection and more of a wide selection of latinamerican food. The place takes advantage of the rotisserie chicken to add flavor to many of other Peruvian dishes offered in the menu
