Service was terrible, staff was disrespectful, and the equipment was a wreck. Our golf card stopped running twice during the 4 hours we had it and they just told us to wait for 10 minutes and try again each time we called. They advertise free pickup, and the provided that, but they don't tell you that you'll have to wait an eternity for their pickup. We spent nearly an hour of our day waiting for our 2 pickups (to the rental store from the cruise ship dock and back to the cruise ship). All this for a 4 hour cart rental -- so 1/4 of our time was spent waiting - totally not worth it. Once back on the ship we spoke with others that had also rented a cart to tour key west and they had a much better experience than we did using other companies. Our mistake - we booked A&M to save $15 and completely regret it as our time in Key West was generally wasted on A&M waiting for them to pick us up or for their cart to start working again. My advice, use another company.

Make sure you inspect your scooter/vehicle before you sign anything and address the damage you find with them, and read the contract. They'll try to get you to sign the contract without inspecting the scooter, and when you return it they'll look for scratches and charge you for them and say, "you signed saying that there was no previous damage." Go to hydro thunder rentals. My brother rented his scooter at A&M and I rented mine at hydro thunder and we had completely opposite experiences.

I don't know why this has so many bad and unpleasant reviews. We rented a double scooter for 4 days. The first scooter we took wasn't that great so we went back within an hour and got a better one right away, no questions asked.They refilled our gas three times without any hesitation. Guys who work here were pretty nice to us. Will try them again if we are ever in Key west again.
Oh and, we also got a free ride to and from our hotel! :)report this review -

We rented 6 scooters for an entire week.. 5 of our 6 scooters had to be traded out within the first 3 days.. faulty brake lines.. issues with the accelerators.. broken seats charged me $499.67 for damage and wouldn't show me what was damaged. This is a TOURIST TRAP.. they will charge you for previous scratches and damages BEWARE using this buisness.. awful experience for all of us..

HORRIBLE! This place is a total RIP OFF. I am being charged for damage I did not do. They said I caused scratches and bent some parts. I never crashed or ran into anything or I would take full responsibility. This is a scam they probably do to everyone. $477 for something that I did not do! Ridiculous! I could buy a scooter for that amount. Do not go there- better off taking a cab. Way to ruin the last day of my vacation!

Charged 243.00 for scratches. Guy with dreds was quick to go right to them underneath the scooter. What a scam. We paid the charges and will cancel the charge as FRAUD. That's what they are. I think with as many people that have been scammed we should look into class action lawsuit for fraud and make them repay all charges to customer for scratches?????? More to come heading down next week to speak with a lawyer friend.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! They will make you pay for damage that never happened. I took the scooter back and they claimed I scratched the bottom of the scooter. NEVER HAPPENED and I told him to go jump in a lake! On the way to the airport the drive said they do this ALL THE TIME! It's a total scam! I wish I would have read the reviews before I rented the scooter. I will be back this year and I will spend the good part of a day standing out front telling every new person entering this place to STAY AWAY! I reversed the charge on my CC card and will guarantee them more lose of business!

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE ITS A HUGE SCAM AND THE PEOPLE WHO WORK THERE ARE NICE WHEN YOU RENT THEN THE DEVIL WHEN YOU RETURN We rent scooters every time we go to key west (2-3 times a year) for the last 4 years this is the first time we used these guys.. there scooters and cars are less then new equipment witch I could care less about however when you return your beat up rental scooter you will be charged hundreds of dollars for scratches you can't even see. They scammed me and two friends and from the reviews many others combined we spent 600$ in scratches and damage that was already there plus the 500$ Approx to rent 3 for a week. HUGE TIP WHEN THEY ASK YOU TO SIGN THE PAPER BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY CIRCLE EVERY HAIRLINE CRACK SCRATCH EVEN SMUDGES ON YOUR FORM OR YOU ARE GOING TO PAY 4x the original agreement price! These people are very very very bad people.. DO NOT TRUST THEM!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place. So nice will help you out in any way they can free shuttle to pick u up and drop you off which is very convient. Ty and Tony were very helpful and super friendly in the process. Good prices very affordable. Would definitely be coming back in the future.

Had a great experience at the 513 South St location. After renting a scooter we decided less than 10 minutes later we'd rather rent bicycles, then changed again to a golf cart. They were very courteous and happily made all the changes on the credit card. When we returned it they told us they offered free shuttle service to the airport which saved us all $9 each. They made safety their #1 concern instead of just making money, as they told us bicycles would probably be better for our plans. I would definitely recommend A and M Rentals.
