I cant really say anything else that hasnt alrrady been said. The food and atmosphere here is amazing! I wish i could give more that 5 stars.
Hands down the best Cajun restaurant I have ever been to. I’ve traveled all over the country looking for jambalaya and gumbo with spice and flavor. This place has it all. The owner makes the place that much better! Great attitude great service can’t wait to go back!!!
This place has some real delicious Cajun food! I had the Beck's Beef Jambalaya and loved it. My fiance had the Crawfish Etouffe which was also delicious. The food was very flavorful and well balanced. The owner is incredibly friendly and courteous as well. I'll definitely be back to try more in the near future!
Wow this place is amazing. Crawfish etouffee was some if the best I have had. Husband had the lerone which is a hoagie with shrimp crab and crawfish yummy
Outstanding food from genuine folk's! A top ten restaurant in Lee County.
Food fantastic atmosphere fun priced reasonably owner Mike a very nice man made you feel like family
So cool. Just a little restaurant in cape coral that is extremely friendly and serves delicious Louisiana cooking. It's so good omg I went there on a whim looking for good southern style cooking and it was so awesome to meet the owner and head chef. He actually played the guitar and sat with me while I ate.
The owner Mike has made this small space a place of comfort and the feeling of eating with family. I was at first sceptical of eating at a restaurant in a small shopping center. DON'T LET THAT FOOL YOU!! I have ate Cajun food in Louisiana. So, I didn't think this would be as good. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG!! The owner was raised and taught to cook Cajun food by his mother in his home kitchen in Louisiana and you can really taste it! This is BY FAR the absolute best Cajun food I have ever ate. Our first visit there and we were fortunate to have met and got to know Mike while we ate his delicious food he had prepared. If you EVER have a chance to eat here you WILL NOT REGRET IT! I drive 15 hours to get to Cape Coral and before I leave I know where I'm going to eat when I get there. I wish I could have it any time I wanted, but I don't live close at all. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, wonderful people!! You can't go wrong eating here!
I was in the mood for some Cajun food and found this place. EVERYTHING was delicious. The Jumpin' jambalaya is to die for.
Made the trip all the way from Port Charlotte and boy was it worth it! Authentic cajun cuisine where the decor has just as much flavor as the food. The portions were large, but the taste was even bigger. Owner operator seasons the dishes to your taste from mild to "oh my gawd," and he's just as authentic as the cuisine adding a little more flare to your dining experience. I'll be adding a trip to the Cape to my weekly dinner routine for sure.
Love this place!! I live by Fort Myers Beach and it is well worth the drive to cape coral. The food is authentic, amazing and as the menu warns will definatly induce a nap. The service is personal and top notch. I love to eat at locally owned restaurants that you can't find anywhere else and this is one of them. A true gem!
In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face is that, in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. Last night, I experienced something new, an extraordinary meal from a singularly unexpected source. To say that both the meal and its maker have challenged my preconceptions is a gross understatement. They have rocked me to my core. In the past, I have made no secret of my disdain for Cajun food. It is difficult to imagine a more humble origins than those of the genius cooking at A Cajun bowl, who is, in this critic’s opinion, nothing less than the finest chef in Florida. I will be returning to A Cajun bowl soon, hungry for more.
