A Broader Concept is a fantastic resource if you're looking to browse a wide variety of high quality rocks and crystals. Whether you're a seeker or just looking to bolster your collection, the shop is filled with only the best pieces sourced from around the world. The store itself is clean, neat and well kept and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable.
A Broader Concept is by far the ultimate crystal and mineral shop in the southern nh region. The couple who own the shop, Craig and Sharon, are absolutely the most knowledgeable and honest people that I know in this industry. They take great pride in offering only the best quality merchandise, and they are always very fair on pricing so you never have to worry about spending more on something than it is worth. In fact, I can guarantee you will walk away with a great deal! They make a fantastic team and a lovely couple too! They have filled their shop with many gorgeous one-of-a-kind pieces. It is truly a lovely shopping experience! Please honor their request to leave the cell phones and small children at home when you visit. There is a good reason for it, and you will enjoy the experience much more if you do. Kathleen Wilder
Love this shop! My best friend and I go as often as we can. The owners are extremely knowledgeable and have been very helpful every time we have gone in. Stopped by again today with my husband.
Love this store and the owners. They are extremely helpful and courteous. They don't try to push anything on you. Just give you the information you seek, if in fact you ask for it. The store is just beautiful. I bought 7 of their bracelets on my second visit, after I had given the four I had previously purchased to my mother who adored them when I visited her. Prices are unbeatable as well. Definitely worth a visit, even if you don't know much about crystals and gemstones.
I came in here with my family on our way home from our vacation in New Hampshire. The woman behind the counter was very nice and helpful answering whatever questions we have. After a short while the gentleman came out and was equally as helpful. We saw a few pieces in the cases we liked. One of the pieces was pretty expensive and he pulled out another tray he had with more specimens of the same type for us to look through which was very thoughtful instead of just trying to sell us on the more expensive piece right away. My daughter loved the place too. They helped her pick out a couple of pieces of jewelry and a very nice pendulum. They had some of the most intriguing pieces I had ever seen. I could have spent the day speaking with the shop owners just learning about all of the different items. I wish we didn't live 5 hours away. I could see our family spending thousands here each year. (Maybe it is a good thing we live 6 hours away.) We will definitely be back when we go back to New Hampshire for the 4th time!
I would like to say one thing about some of the negative reviews on here. This store has very nice MUSEUM QUALITY pieces all around which really adds to the atmosphere. The store is immaculately clean and well presented. With that being said, make sure to handle your younger children! This is not the type of store where you can let your 3 year old run around and pick up and drop whatever they see. There is a split piece amethyst geode in one corner that is easily over 6 and a half feet tall. I would say $10-12,000 per half or more. Please treat their shop and inventory with some respect. This is their livelihood and to be fair, people coming in looking to buy their small children "rocks", this is more than just a "rock" store. Some of these pieces are millions of years old and are irreplacable.
Don't trust the negative reviews here. We have been here twice so far and not a bad experience at all. All the negative reviews are from parents who have small bratty kids that they can't control. I'd be telling those parents to get out of my store too. The people have done nothing but help out my son pick out some really cool rocks.
Poor poor service. Have 3 children 11, 5 and 3. The youngest loves rocks and we thought this store would be wonderful for him see, look at the rocks, maybe learn something, and pick out some rocks as a souvenir from our trip to New Hampshire. Coming to this store was a big mistake. The gentleman prowling the floor gave us a stink eye for no reason as soon as we opened the door. I soon found out it was because of the kids. My three year old was extremely excited to see all the rocks and we had the gentleman hovering behind us, telling us he has tens of thousands of dollars of rocks on the floor and to make sure we don't kick a rock and break it. Instead of my son maybe learning a bit about rocks, he was just hounded to not touch and break things. We had picked out rocks for him and my middle son, against my gut feeling of not wanting to spend money in a store with such a rude person, when I realized the lady behind the register was even worse. She looked at my children and i as though we had smeared fecal matter all over the store. Sorted through the 50 dollars of rocks we had picked out and then instead of giving me a price on the skulls they had behind the counter that my wife and I had talked about, she asked to cash me out, then hesitated and asked if we wanted anything else. I told her to cash me out and would have walked out not purchasing anything if my 3yr old son didn't love and was so excited over the rocks. If you are a adult, this store is more than likely fine. If you have a child of any age that is interested in rocks, don't go here expecting anything resembling customer service or friendliness. I would give this place no stars if I could. Such a disappointment coming here.
Every shop should be kept as immaculately as this store. My nine year old daughter and I visited the store and were met by the extremely courteous and professional husband and wife duo. My daughter recently started a new gemstone, rock and crystal collection. At first, we were overwhelmed by the huge selection. Craig and Sharon, the owners, could not have been more helpful with two newbies. Even if you are not into this type of thing, take the time to drop by and meet the owners, you'll be better for it. They will show you how customers should be treated, how product should be displayed and prices for every taste.

Very charming store. The owners are very kind and knowledgeable. Prices are very reasonable. Plan on visiting everytime we are in NH.
Awesome and very unique selection of rocks, minerals, gems and one of a kind jewelry. Owners are great people.
The amount of different items to select from is amazing Also the staff was super friendly to myself and my children. He even gave them a piece of my sons birthstone for free. Now that's a solid place to go.
My first time coming into this store today and it was an excellent experience. The owners were very friendly and helpful and answered any questions since I am new to collecting crystals. They had a large selection of minerals and crystals as well as fossils. the prices were awesome too! I will definitely be back!
