The cabin was very nice. I did not like the driveway very well though, you had to back out and it was kind of narrow, but everything else was pretty good. The jetted tub did not work, and there were a couple of wasps in the room. But it had pots and pans and everything you need in the kitchen. The bed was comfortable. I would stay there again.
The cabin was clean, beautifully furnished, and cozy. The hot tub was ready, and the beds had clean linens. There were dishes, silverware, and everything needed to prepare meals. We relaxed the entire weekend without a care. We loved it, and will be back.
We were so excited to return to Mountain Rose as we had visited a couple of years ago. When we arrived we noted a funky smell coming from the bathroom and wall of the kitchen. Having camped enough, we suspected it was a dead rodent in a wall. We opted to not use that area and preferentially used the upstairs restroom due to the smell. On the day we left, we stripped the beds and found heaps of rat poison in the bed tucked under the mattress! Little blue/gray pellets were everywhere. I had a toddler traveling with us and had he found them he would have been severely injured! My husband complained at the front desk and was told that the owner of the cabin must have left them there because they do not put out poison in the bedrooms. They stated that housekeeping would clean them up. However, housekeeping had to know they were there if they made the bed. Unacceptable and unsafe.
We stayed in Whispering Pines cabin, and it was beautiful (both the area around the cabin and the inside of the cabin). There are 6 ceiling fans that my dog was obsessed with (he's a little weird). The jets on the hot tub didn't work, but the water was still hot, and that's all that mattered! The staff was incredibly friendly. My biggest complain is honestly the road that leads up to the cabins. That has got to be the narrowest, most dangerous road that I have driven on in a long time. It's really curvy and steep, and when you come across a car going in the other direction, there often isn't anywhere to pull over (no shoulder or anything-just a ditch). We dreaded driving back up to the cabin, but once we were there, we loved it! Would totally stay there again.
We have hiked in the Red River Gorge for years and use 5 Star Cabin Rentals in order to stay in the areas we plan to hike. We have stayed in a variety of their cabin rentals over the years and never been disappointed with our experience. It is great to wind down after a long difficult day hike around a campfire and in the hot tub you will find at these rental cabins. The staff is helpful and kind at all hours of the day and quick to jump on a solution when you have a problem-like a dead car battery early in the morning hours..not a part or our hiking adventure plan. You can choose a cabin for its extraordinary view and just cool out or one that is close to a trail head you plan to use. They have quite a variety to choose from for any kind of experience you are looking for in a beautiful place such as The Red.
Rented Bearly Secluded for three nights in October 2017 and could not have been happier. From check-in to check-out things could not have been quicker or easier. Great staff, very friendly. The cabin itself was everything it was described to be. Very clean, everything you could need was there and we really enjoyed the firepit and hot tub, especially after a full day of hiking. This is our second stay with 5 Star Cabin Rental and we will always use them in the future. A+ Company.
For four years straight, my friends and I have come to what we now consider to be our cabin in the woods for a great, fall, weekend retreat. It has become our home away from home. I want to thank 5-Star Rentals for making this possible. Cannot wait to return for year number five
Very Bad Experience. I have rented in the Gorge area several times and had much better luck. The management was not very responsive with my original booking, and worst of all, we found the living room and master bedroom windows swarming with wasps. They did finally send a maintenance person to address the situation but have refused to refund any of the rental price. I would absolutely not recommend 5 Star Cabins or more specifically a rental of the "Paradise Chalet"
We stayed in the "Romance on the Rocks" cabin. It was very nice, clean, secluded, and romantic. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only issue is that there is a no cancellation policy so be very sure of your plans before booking your stay and you should have a memorable experience.
We booked 2 nights, changed it to 3, then 4. Bear Scoot and Boogie was perfect for the 2 of us. Outdoor hot-tub worked perfect.everything worked perfect. Check in and extending our stay worked flawlessly. If you like hiking, Natural Bridge State Park is awesome. If you like fall mushrooms, NBST is awesome. Some difficult, perilous trails, some easy. Will be back for a spring outing!
Very nice cabin. Would stay there again. Close to the all the sites in the RRG park.
I'm giving a two star not because "The Eagle's Nest" wasn't a great little cabin, because it was. Very cozy! The negative review comes from the webpage offering wifi and we had none! You are charged a cleaning fee. Before we left we had to do 90% of the cleaning, wash the linens, wash the (TWO TOWELS). Also, the dishes, which I completely understand the dishes. We also only had about 1/4 of toilet paper on the roll, guess what? We ran out and had to go BUY some along with paper towels. I've never had this problem before while staying in a cabin. I think if you pay as much as we did for three days, a person shouldn't have to worry about the small detail things.
Had the pleasure of taking my girlfriend to one of the cabins for her birthday weekend. The Cabins are a 5-10 minute drive to a majority of trails. Our stay was fantastic, after 9 mile hikes, being able to return to a homey, warm Cabin was to die for. My only advice would be to bring Towels, they only give you one for each person, which can make the hot tub and showers tricky.
Had a wonderful visit thanks to 5 Star Cabin Rentals. The location of our cabin was centralized, and easy to get to both Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. The cabin seems to be well maintained, but is leaning. We talked to the staff about it and they were very helpful and took time to listen. 10/10 would recommend, and hope to return again in the Fall and for years to come.
I have stayed in numerous cabins over the last several years and I have always forgotten to post a comment. The cabins are great, much more than you would expect and always outstanding service. The area is great as well with a lot of different things to do, I have kayaked, hiked, zip lined, explored the gorge and other trails in the area, and the bridge as well for many years. Natural Bridge Cabin Company has always been great, the five star cabins are of course larger but the smaller cabins as well do not disappoint. They are pet friendly for the most part and your dog has plenty of space and most of the trails as well are pretty relaxed. Thanks a lot for being a great getaway!
