5 Napkin Burger is great for groups and families and the food is great! The only thing that I didn't like was the wait. It took about half an hour for 6 people's meals but I guess good food takes time. I would totally recommend this to anyone I met.
Absolutely hands down the best burger I've ever had - now I actually understand what people mean when get say that something is so good it melts in the mouth gluten free buns were also an appreciated bonus! We loved the range of local beers and produce too
Was there this past Friday with a friend and we enjoyed it. The food was great, the service was great. Brittany, the bartender, made us feel like we were home. My friend and I are planning to go back soon.
It's the truth. We were pointed here by a local when we were in town and it was fantastic. No wait, full bar, excellent service, great food, what else can I say? Oh, I know. The burgers are amazing. Worth every penny and I will definitely be back when I visit again.
Best burgers we had while visiting NYC! Super happy we found this hot lunch spot! Every dish was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu options. The place was very busy, but we didn't have to wait long to be seated or get our food. The only complaints we may have to share are that there is 1 single bathroom for the entire restaurant which could have been kept cleaner due to the high volume of use and the inside door of the entrance kept getting caught on the entryway rug so that cold bursts of air were blowing in fairly constantly. Otherwise, it was a perfect lunch!
I am giving 5 starts because of the burgers. Some of the most inventive burgers and delicious. Today I went for brunch. I have to say, it was good but not like the burgers..
In NYC on vacation awaiting a show down the street, I found my way into 5 Napkins. Waiter Gus was OUTSTANDING. He was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. You have a very talented employee. Thanks!
It's a little pricey, but the burgers were absolutely fantastic! I had the avocado ranch, my mother had the Truffle burger. Both were absolutely out of this world. The fries were delicious. I had a boozy strawberry milkshake which was a little disappointing. It would have been better with a dragonberry rum instead of whatever they used. It killed the strawberry flavor. My sister had one without the booze and it was fantastic. I recommend getting here early, it gets busy fast.
Just wonderful! It's so lovely and inviting, I love the decor. The service was excellent (we loved our waiter) and the staff was so friendly- they brought spicy pickles to the table! I ordered fresh lemonade -- DELICIOUS. The food came out so fast! I ordered the avocado ranch burger and it was DIVINE. The fries were great too! I finished with the New York style cheesecake and I could not have asked for more. My sister got the s'mores milkshake and loved it. So so so so good. I would definitely recommend. Some NYC restaurants will push you out quickly but we never felt that way here! So great!
Good but not great gourmet burgers in this small-chain restaurant. The setting is nice for a date and the food came out quickly. If you use Open Table definitely use that to get a reservation. We walked in and went straight to our table while others waited much longer. The burgers while good didn't wow either my wife or I and preferred some of the other burgers around New York .
5 napkin? More like 5 stars! I went with three people, in which we all got three different types of burgers and we all loved it. There is so much food for the price and it's so messy but it's all amazing! Definitely worth the visit.
It's the ultimate hamburger in Hell's Kitchen. The atmosphere is wonderful. The fries and hamburger were great, and the waitress was hot as hell ! The bathrooms were very clean which earns him an extra star. Highly recommended burger joint.
The signature 5 Napkin Burger is a scrumptious take on a French original, the service is always prompt and personable, and the milk shakes are so good the kids made us visit twice and were bummed we didn't go a third over a three day visit. Plus one more star for the best gluten free buns we've ever had. Beats a lettuce wrap by a mile.
First meal in New York
5 Napkin Burger greeted us with open arms. After a tiresome 24-hour flight, a couple of cold beers and a short wait to be seated. We were pleasantly surprised by how good the burgers were. Patties juicy and tender, buns sweet and fresh. Perfect introduction to NY City.
