If I could leave 0 stars I would. Living here has been one of the worst experiences of my life. I am a full time student and have a full time job and the majority of my stress has been from this establishment.
Their negligence has ultimately left an infestation in my house( I opted to live without animals when I signed because I’m extremely allergic and they decided to move someone in with two cats anyway), dryer is always broke, no hot water, cat litter down my stairs, filthy walls and flooring( was like that when I moved in ), the people at the office are extremely rude and they have YET to fix any of these issues (it’s been months). I am a part of management where I work and I can honestly say that I’ve never been so disgusted on how someone runs their business.
To top it all off they lied to all of the residents before signing and promised us new amenities and restaurants and not one of them are up to standard the restaurant isn’t even open.response / report this review -

Last week my sister was diagnosed with Cancer. She raises her 2 daughters alone. I'm am having to move to GA so I can take care of them. My sister is basically poor and anyone has gone through this knows that this whole process is physically, spiritually, and financially devastating.
I spoke with Cara and told her what's going on. I wasn't even asking to get out of my contract, only asking if they would work with me a little on the remainder of it. They told me I have to pay the full amount of every month that's is left no matter what. She didn't even wish my sister well or anything. Just said "thanks, bye".
So no, I do not recommend living here. If something tragic happens and you need to leave due to emergency they will not work with you. Or even consider it. It's a shame.
They also don't tell you about how the cancellations work. They just try to slide it by in writing. There's no trust, understanding, or compassion here. Just business.response / report this review -

would give it 0 stars if I could. Beyond terrible. I wish I would have never chose to live here. Office staff is awful and the "new management/changing management" is their only sorry excuse for when something goes wrong. Terrible company. DO NOT LIVE HERE. My sister lived at another complex down the road which happens to be a mom and pop company, you would think 48 west would have their act better. But they do not at all. Parties are non stop. and they do nothing about them even if you call 10 times. Don't waste your money on reserved parking either because if someone parks in your spot, they do NOTHING.

This apartment complex is a TERRIBLE place to live. It is populated by a majority of people who don't pay their own bills so they have no regard for how much water or power they are using and you are forced to split the utilities evenly. The office staff is trained to point blank lie to you about the grounds, dimensions of the apartments, and amenities to make it sound much better than it is. 90% of the time there are intolerable parties at all hours of the night, every day of the week. AND the management will sit and listen to your complaints to make it seem like they care and then literally throw their notes away and start laughing with the office staff. TERRIBLE APARTMENT!!!!!! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!!!

I really enjoy living at 48 west. The community and neighborhood are both great. The office staff is very helpful with any questions that you have.

Great apartments with a great location! I love the overall layout of the units as well. The staff is always eager to help with anything you need! I would definitely recommend to anyone that will be attending school in the area. You'll definitely get a bang for your buck!

I've been at the 48 West for a few months now. Everyone has been unbelievably kind to me. The office staff is also ultra-friendly and more than willing to help with anything necessary. They treat us residents as though we are a part of their family. They seem to know every single person on a first name basis and never fail to say hi and give a big wave and a smile. I am very lucky to have that while being away from my hometown. The apartments are very nice and if ever a problem might occur, somebody is there to fix it immediately. I live here because of the management and the staff. They are the best!

Great staff! They really made a difference when I was looking for a place to live. I love the apartments, very modern and the best I've seen. Super excited to have lived here, wish it didn't have to end! Great experience, I'll never forget it.

Great apartments with a great location! Staff is always really nice and helpful. There are always new upgrades being done and prices are more than reasonable. I would recommend 48 West to everyone!

Toured in Spring of 2016 and moved here in the Fall. I have loved it ever since the day I toured. The staff are extremely nice and are there to help you. The community is really clean. 48 West is the best student housing in Michigan hands down! Before I moved here I lived at another student housing complex that was nowhere near my expectations. So I made sure I toured and did research on all apartments before choosing. This one stood out to me the most and I'm glad I chose it. If you're a student, this is the perfect place for you and I definitely recommend!
