Great hotel with nice unique features and fantastic staff. I have stayed here multiple times and I have always had a great experience. Hashem and the duty manager Jenik did everything possible to resolve out reservation mixup. Thank you for your help and will be staying here again due to great hotel and great customer service.

    Dear Zaman
My experience in this hotel has been something I have never experienced in my own country.

You have taken us as your family.
    You treated us like family.
When the day went by and you never saw us, you made it your duty to call or message.

I don’t think I have ever had a family or close friend care this much😊.💐

I will be sending through all of our reservation info to the Wyndham website also TripAdvisor with pictures so management knows the value in your service.

Zela Gezer who I called my mother. She is a gem. We cried and we hugged.
    What a beautiful soul.

    Thank You
    Mr Zaman
    And your staff as well💐

I recently stayed at the Wyndham in the old city Istanbul. I arrived about 5.30pm in the afternoon. I was given a very nice room, good bed, modern bathroom. I unpacked and went for a swim in the excellent indoor pool. After I changed and went out for dinner. I have read some reviews, one said there were no restaurants in the vicinity. Well they weren't staying in this hotel, there were numerous restaurants within a few minutes walk. i found a very good one. When I returned to the room I went straight to sleep. I was bitten by a mosquito and woke up. I killed it and went back to sleep, I heard more of them an noticed 2 in the room.I could not get rid of them and went to reception. It was 1.30am. The receptionist was so apologetic and changed my room, they offered 3 and I took my pick. She was so helpful. The next day I went to breakfast, again I had read some mixed reviews, well it consisted of a large buffet, and everything you could imagine. Nothing like the review I had read. It was very good.
On the whole I found the hotel to be excellent standard,be well located close to everything and offer a very good service. I have one point the rooms are dark at night as is the Lobby and reception area, due to inadequate lighting. This looks drab and should be addressed.

Having asked for a no smoking room I was disappointed that the room we were allocated stunk of smoke. To be fair, when we raised the issue it was dealt with quickly and we were moved to another room which was much nicer.
Everything felt a little jaded and although the staff were pleasant enough, there were a number of occasions when their performance was not up to my expectations.
Moreover, the breakfast buffet, whilst plentiful, lacked quality.

I don't know how they can rank this hotel as a 5 stars hotel. It can hardly reach 4 stars.
The rooms are so small, the bathrooms are very uncomfortable specially for those over 100 kg.
    The breakfast is very poor.
I will not stay in it ever again

A comfortable Hotel with friendly staff. Efficiently run. Used mainly by tour groups on a short stay basis which has some disadvantages i.e. the constant traffic movements. Smoking is forbidden but regularly violated. Breakfast is provided catering to the various nationalities. A Bistro with a small menu is otherwise the only option for day or evening dining.

This once would have been a plush hotel, but is now a little tired, as shown by the towels, bedding, and décor.

The staff are rather abrupt and clearly stressed, but helpful.

The spa, gym, pool and sauna etc. are an enjoyable addition.

While there is good choice on the breakfast buffet, it is rather like navigating one of the bazaars collecting your food. A better selection of hot foods would have improved it for us.

As soon as we got here, we were welcomed very warmly by the staff. We were served by Mr Murat and he was friendly and helpful. The lobby was decorated beautifully with traditional Ottoman style. We had a nice stay.

They gave us a room facing an alley but the hotel is close to all the attractions and the people are very helpful , another plus factor is that all modes of transport are within walking distance

Staff are relatively fine. Rooms are not so perfect. But hotel is full of Arabs. You don't feel so comfortable. They are not even aware that plug is not working in the room. Foods are not variable. If you have an another option, don't come here.

i stayed at the wyndam Old City for 4 nights with husband and never again. At the front desk when we arrived the short, fair gentlemen i think his name was ugar was not welcoming and found he had an attitude. he wasnt friendly and he did it again at check out time. Breakfast was terrible, some food looked like it was sitting there for days. uncooked tomatoes were mouldy, bread was hard. room was clean but too small. Im a small person and could hardly fit myself into the bathroom. Location was good central with easy access to trams buses and trains and with walking distance to some major tourist destinations. we were promised wifi in the rooms but didnt get wifi once in the room. wifi was only available in the foyer.

This is an awesome hotel in Old City Istanbul. Very spacious with almost every amenity you could need including traditional Turkish bath. The breakfast array is good with a wide assortment of cheeses and olives. Location is also very close to the Grand Bazaar and directly across from a historic mosque. The views from the rooms aren't good but no place is perfect.
