Amazing old valuable collections reaching as old as 5000 years old for many places from the old lands of the ottoman empire.
It is part of the archaeological museum and entrance is with the same ticket. I wish Google mentions that.

Commissioned by Osman Hamdi Bey and built in 1883 to a design Alexaandre Vallaury, this neo-Renaissance building was originally home to Istanbul's Academy of Fine Arts, with students and their tutors having instant access to the surrounding galleries. However, as excavations continued to turn up treasures, the artists moved out in the early 1900s, the artefacts moved in, and this became the Museum of the Ancient Orient. (Cornucopia Mag. issue 60)

Good and interesting place, it showing you some history of Ancient Orient.
You can find some information about them on the walls in both English and Turkish language.

First building shows Babylonian relics, Urartu, Sumerians and other Middle East exhibits. This part is great.
Second building contains coffins of Elinistic period.
I wish I could visit Alexander’s tomb but “for my better experience” it was closed for reconstruction.
Third building is sort of palace and contains some oriental ceramic exhibits.

Come to this museum to see the first peace treaty of the world between Hittite and Egyptians written in 1269 BC. Other artefacts like Ishtar gate from Babylonia. It is a must in Istanbul

Nice collection but horrible display. And the building looks tired. It's very important to hire good curators, the place is being run with the aesthetics of an amateur gallery.

Museum of Ancient Orient is in the same ground with the Archeological Museums in Istanbul and should definitely be in your list of things to see in Istanbul.
The museum is in Sultanahmet, just in the gardens of Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.

Museum of Ancient Orient has findings from Babylon and is included with the Museum Pass.

This place seemed to be a hidden gem. They had a beautiful collection of ancient architecture from various cultures and, most importantly, you can buy a museum pass here. This museum pass is good for 5 days and it gives you instant access to most of the more notable places to see in Istanbul. It easily paid for itself by the end of our trip and the ability to cut past the crazy long line at the Hagia Sophia was priceless.

Can not describe how wonderful this place, both for those interested in archeology and onlookers., Are the three neighboring buildings to each entry to all of them B20lerh and headphones explanation with 15 (requiring identification or passport) salary of the museum by the older view beautiful and you can see the details up close, museums contain traces of rare and valuable to Atkdr priceless, enough for me to 5 hours and the spectators enough hour for each building, Eugdkaver between buildings in a garden filled with beautiful antiquities but TC is bad, there is a beautiful souvenir shop.
