Great hotel on great place, sweet spa with sauna, Turkish hammam and swimmingpool. No-smoke rooms. Very nice,clean room with big beds and good isolation walls. 4 stars just because its a mezze bar on the roof where you must reserve table because people who are not guest are coming there. Also its not caffe where you can sit and drink coffee or tea, because you need to eat mezze

Clean antique furniture hotel.. facilities and breakfast are ok, swimming pool and Turkish bath.

Very rude staff (well, typical turkish hospitality, a bit worse) especially the evening shift (try to avoid the man with puffy and curly hair), poor room service (don't be surprised if your bedsheets are changed once every 4 days), terrible crisis management (we had no water for 2 days without any advanced notice, nobody was sorry about it) , very noisy street. you will have to sleep with a turkish electronic music as your lullaby thanks to the pubs nearby, so so breakfast, good location, walking distance to metro station and Taksim square. The swimming pool is the best thing about this place although the opening hours (10-22) would probably not work for tourists. It is recommended that you book via an agency otherwise the price does not worth it, at all.

we stayed in this hotel for 4 nights last week. it has a fantastic classic decoration, friendly staffs and clean and comfortable rooms. restaurant is at seven floor and it has a great great great view of Istanbul. breakfast was good and delicious.
hotel's location is great. just one alley to istiklal street, 5 min to bus stop and 3 min to shishane metro station. every thing was wonderful. definitely i will stay in this hotel whenever i come again to Istanbul.response / report this review -

Huge rooms, breakfast very good (half turkish half european) on the rooftop. Safe area and walking distance to all the sights if you are in reasonable shape.

Nice property.
But have some bad comments:
- the location is bad and alot of bars and clubs
- the bar located on the 7th floor is very noisy and they started at 10 pm daily, so if they want to make parties and events they have to isolate that from the rooms to qualify the comfort of the guests
- they have some delay in the room service
- the lights are very low causes headache for the one!!!response / report this review -

Hi there,
I was stay this lovely hotel for 7 nights.
The receptions were really friendly. As I remember one of them who was a Mongolian girl helped me to find out some touristic area easily. The hotel was awesome. very clean,beautiful, classic,nice atmosphere and reliable place hotel. It has nice sauna, steam room, Turkish bathroom and small swimming pool but it was fine.
The hotel was Unbelieving close to everything such as bus stop, train stop(metro) and trams. It was just 3 minutes walk to Esteklal Street witch is nice, crowded and historic street.
It is really deserve to be 5 STARS hotel incredibly.

We did choose this hotel in the first place for the excellent strategic location in the modern town. As we were before in Sultanahmet we had already visited that part during a previous visit.
The first impression of course is the entrance hall. The ceilings and walls are in a perfect shape. This has been restored in a great way. The second impression was the friendly and helpful staff, already at the entrance door and at the reception.
We have received a magnificent room in fact a suite on the fourth floor. Very large and comfortable, also very good with stylish bathroom with plenty of product even shaving cream and razor was included.
One on the first check I made was on the windows as I’ve red in other comments about the single glass. I cannot judge for the other rooms but it was double glass. We had not at all problems with the noise (and assure I am quite sensitive) One of the evenings there was a party in the roof restaurant of the neighbor hotel. We heard it of course a bit, but absolutely acceptable, we slept in without problems. Also we suspect they ended it around midnight.
There is free Wi-Fi in the room and of excellent speed quality! Also rather large safe at disposal.
Further the great style everywhere, even with an old open elevator kept in the original layout with of course some technical security features. Further also a new one.
The breakfast is on the top floor, with good panorama view. You can even walk one floor up where the view is even better. The breakfast is in buffet form with plenty of choice from warm up to cold platters and nice croissants and pastry for those who prefer the sweet.
We only did not have the time to use the fitness and spa.
Conclusions:
Positive:
Very nice historic building, well restored in all the public areas
Absolute friendly and helpful staff
Excellent location for that part of the city
Perfect large and clean rooms
Large choice breakfast
In fact the price /quality factor is excellent

Mixed feelings.
Location is awesome, very near a couple of very good restaurants.
The staff is friendly and prompt.
The main concern is the rooms while looking nice they are a big cramped and there's several small annoyances that make the experience less enjoyable.
