Lovely and cosy place. The staff are always welcoming and smiling. Room cleaning daily. If only the breakfast had more vegetarian options.. Oh and no tea maker in the room :(

My 5 stars are based on the fact that this hotel is a really good bargain - we were there in December and the price was around 35€ per night with breakfast. The hotel is located literally a few minutes walk from Istanbul's top tourist attractions (Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Topkapı Palace) and very close to Spice and Grand Bazaar). There is a tram line just in front of the hotel so be aware that you can hear it in the room (it does not operate between midnight and 6AM). Breakfast is decent (some egg dishes can be ordered extra for about 8 TL). Rooms are pretty small with a French bed but that is standard for the area. The hotel is clean and has a very nice staff.

Friendly staff. The windows dont isolate properly. One can hear the traffic very well even with windows closed. The Call for prayer in the morning can be very loud. The breakfast is not good, bad coffee, dry bread, cheap Jam and cheese, salty sausages, in a basement without windows. The location is good.

Staff at recepción are very friendly and helpful. But Room are extremely small . Breakfast is decent nothing outstanding. Hotel Location is excellent but bear in mind that no cars/taxis are allowed on this street so you need to walk approximately 200 metres to arrive to the entrance so if you have lots of baggage this hotel is not ideal

This was our second time coming to this hotel- we never go to the same place twice but we were just so pleased with Orient Express last year that we came again. We were pleasantly welcomed with some apple tea and informative staff. Last year we were on the 7th floor which had larger rooms, however, this year we were on the 6th. The rooms were very small with little walking space. After talking to reception, they said that we could move to the 7th floor the following night. The main reasons we chose this hotel last year was because of the location and the indoor pool. However, we were extremely disappointed to find that the pool was closed due to long term maintenance. The hotel went out of their way to improve our stay though. They provided two rooms in one of the kids and a large room for the adults. They also said we could use the leisure facilities of a nearby hotel at no extra cost. We were happy with everything; the rooms were well equipped and the breakfast was lovely- especially the croissants. The location is perfect, it is walking distance to the top attractions of Istanbul and right near the tram station. I would recommend it to others and would stay here again.

No. This is NOT a 4 star hotel. Its barely 3 stars. The staff are friendly and helpful and you get all the basic amenities and a decent room. But dont be fooled thinking it as a 4 star as they say themselves. No complimentary water and coffee.

Brilliant hotel, perfect location and excellent staff. The breakfast is generous, the pool is pleasant and the rooms are clean.
The terrace is currently under renovation, which is no big deal in this season. Will definitely visit again next time I'll hit Istanbul, nest xummer hopefully.response / report this review -

Best location you can think about in Fatih area ( old city ). Great hotel & friendly staff, clean rooms with every thing you might need and more. You might get small room, but its the case in this area hotels. I booked two rooms and both had A/C. If you need tramway its two mins to the station, and if you are looking for train Marmary its just behind the hotel.
