Great place if you’re into spirituality and Islamic meditation (Sufi dervish)! If you’re into Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi. We visited here in August 2020 but due to COVID-19 there was no dervish ceremony but we enjoyed going inside the museum

Very very disappointing museum. And if you want to attend the dance that is only on Sunday and must buy a ticket on Saturday. Well if you think a dance is worth 120 lira then be my guest. To me a total rip off. Museum is more from the past hundred years so even that was a complete rip off to me. Lucky I got the museum pass but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone. I wouldn’t even recommend the museum pass after I attended all and only but Four where even worth it. Follow me on here and you will see what I have spoken.

Only thing good I found in whole museum was to note that Muhammad was a poor farmer. So I don’t even know why people classify him as a prophet. I’m sure he didn’t even know how to read or write.

Get some insight of the every day Turkish life. Was a little music concert on the day however after 50 minutes wait we left as it wasn't started. Only checked cause we had the museum card.

Mysterious, peaceful and historical attraction. It has a sufistic setting and a must visit museum with a ceremony of whirling dervishes on Sunday evenings (at 5pm)

It is a perfect place to learn about Sufism, dervish life and see a Sema Show. It is a small place so all you need is one hour to see it. It can be a different activity before seeing Glata Tower which is very close to it. The sema shows are only on Sundays at 17:00. The ticket is 100 TL per person.

If you want a unique cultural experience, buy tickets to see the Whirling Dervishes perform at the Galata Lodge. It's a historic building that puts on performances every day. Go early so you actually get a seat with a good view. The performance lasts more than an hour and it's interesting, but if you have a hard time sitting still like me, you'll get tired of it after ten minutes. Pro tip: If you are bored of this performance, try to pick one guy and focus on them to see if they make any funny facial expressions as they whirl around.
