I love the roomcosy.
This is unfortunate because the hotel itself is so beautiful and they have wonderful facilities. The front desk agents need to look up the word "hospitality". The woman who checked us in named Hande was terrible. She pretty much just gave us the key and never greeted us or gave us the signature Doubletree cookie at check in. She never told us where breakfast was or the times or where even the elevators were. We asked various times about getting a cookie and we were told repeatedly that they didn't have them. The hot breakfast selections were lazy and not very good and there was very little attention.
Excellent hotel for tourist. The Wi-Fi also pretty fast. The room has very comfortable bed.
Excellent location. Friendly staff. Excellent WiFi. Please stay here.
Good buffet food & nice rooms, except they seem small. Dec 2017
konaklama havuz ve spa için gidiyoruz. yüksek memnuniyet
Extremely good service and help, from room booking to balloon tour booking
Good quality and service
Cozy room, int'l breakfast menu was delicious, nice view
They have many cozy rooms. Which only have 3 floors level, this hotel is very comfortable for older guests. The restaurant provides many varieties of delicious foods
High quality hotel with very good breakfast & dinner buffet
Although we travelled to cappadocia for a vacation, I stay in hotels across Turkey frequently for work. I believe I have a pretty good idea of the level of service and standards that can be expected in the region based on a variety of price points and regions.
My wife and I chose to stay here over the boutique cave hotels because we have an active baby and wanted to stay somewhere with an indoor pool, security for our vehicle, and a room without stair or sharp stone edges where our baby might bump into.
Don't make the same mistake, Cappadocia is great, the people are friendly, and you can find much better accommodation for the price.
For what I paid, I could have stayed in an amazing boutique hotel in the middle of goreme with a view of the morning balloons overhead. I regret my decision immensely after spending a little time in Cappadocia and getting to know the area.
My primary complaints:
Poor service:
- Waited outside for a porter for 10 minutes while front desk (in clear sight) ignored me. Went inside to ask for one, no one came, eventually had to park and drag my luggage to the lobby through the cold. My pregnant wife and baby also had to walk through the cold.
- we are legal residents of Turkey, but we were told that we must show our passports because "resident permit is not enough" (it is sufficient everywhere else I've stayed).
- I was told I must pay upfront, even though I booked online and my credit card is on file.
- The second night, we tried to call for room service 5 times. No one answered, and I went to sleep hungry.
- I complained about the room being very hot, and the front desk told me she was going to call her friend to check it The room was hot the second night so I complained again when going out for the day, they said they would fix it. I'm
laying here again for the third night and the room is still hot.
- Each time we go for breakfast, no one offers to bring us drinks or asks us if we want anything. We have to flag down one of the many staff members standing around and ask them for orange juice or whatever.
- I booked a balloon ride, but they didn't give me any information about the company, they just told me to show up in the morning at 6. I'm thinking about cancelling because the price on the flyer and the price I was quoted at the front desk are very different(much much cheaper) I'm afraid they booked me with a second rate and possibly unsafe balloon company.
Uncomfortable room:
- Side tables had melted wax all over them from previous guests ( not cleaned well at all)
- Too hot, thermostat not adjustable.
- Very Small, barely enough places to put our stuff, let alone a baby cot.
- Poorly ventilated, stuffy
- Shower poorly designed with a very low ceiling, I have to crouch to get under the shower head. The shower head is a piece of junk, it just sprays water all over the place.
- Dimly lit
- Smelled strongly like cigarette smoke, presumably from neighboring rooms.
Mediocre food
- Burger was more expensive than Macdonald and half as good (and I hate MacDonald's)
- Breakfast is very basic compared to much cheaper hotels in Turkey compared to equally priced hotels, it's basically pitiful.
Terible service. Terible food. Small room and broken bed sheet.
Stayed here for 2 nights during our honeymoon. Despite my husband's diamond status and honeymoon request, the room was tiny and the AC wasn't working. It was too hot for us to sleep and staff wasn't able to do anything to help us (except provide a small fan and cold drinks). Breakfast spread is average - lots of options but not as tasty. We wouldn't stay there again.
