Great staff. Very nice rooms with bottled water available.
Great find! Location and room were excellent but the most outstanding aspect of the stay was the people. Special kudos to Yulia who was very helpful in helping us get around the city and plan our activities. Also Catrin was very helpful and a great assist with our cab and Uber. Ruslan did a great job with our bags and incidentals. These people made our stay much more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. I highly recommend the Pushka Inn.
Great boutique hotel. Nicely furnished hotel rooms. Very friendly staff. Great restaurant next door. Looking forward to staying there again.
This hotel saved us! We had problems with our tour company and ended up being sent to this hotel by accident, with no booking and nowhere else to go. They called up all the hotels in the area, finding us somewhere else to stay, and made us feel welcome despite the booking mix-up! We only saw the foyer and three members of staff, but judging by first impressions, and the kindness of the staff, this place is excellent.
Very civilised indeed. Reception staff have excellent recommendations for restaurants and attractions. Comfortable beds and facilities. Location excellent, walking distance to Hermitage and other to attractions. We could not fault anything!
Nice hotel, lovely staff, great location near the main palaces and shopping areas.
Good hotel, nice service, excellent location
Pushka Inn were very fast to help organise visa support documents (tourist voucher and invitation) via a third party and emails were responded to promptly.
Upon arrival at the hotel the staff were very friendly, went over all the information we needed, showed us the location of various sights on a map including the two nearby supermarkets and answered the other questions we had.
My wife and I crammed into the elevator facing each other (you would want to know the other person in the elevator well) and our luggage followed soon after. We decided to use the stairs for the rest of the stay as it was only two flights of stairs (the ground floor is level one).
The room itself was clean, nicely decorated with plenty of room and a clean bathroom. Outside the room was a water filter as you are supposed to avoid drinking the local water including for brushing your teeth. We purchased bottled water cheaply at the local supermarkets which are open late.
Internet was fast most of the time, now and again we had a few connection problems but these were infrequent.
Room 301 had a nice view of the canal but others have mentioned in their reviews that this can be noisy at times from the tour boats going past but we didn't notice this.
Breakfast was in the restaurant in the same building but you leave the front door, walk across the driveway and into the other door to enter. The food here is supposed to be very good at night but we didn't get a chance to try it but will next time. The made to order omelette was excellent as was the rest of the food, the spread was pretty decent given the size of the hotel.
We will stay here again when we return to Saint Petersburg, the location is perfect as is the hotel. The staff are always pleasant and helpful and I couldn't think of anything else we could have wanted. Definately stay at this hotel, it's number one on TripAdvisor for a reason!
“We used the stairs as the elevator was so small so going higher up means more stairs. The ground floor is level one.”
just not bad..
and Recommended elsewhere
This was our first visit to Russia. I found this hotel on the top list at Tripadvisor so we had high expectations. We order the hotels transfer service from the airport to the hotel. The driver was waiting at the airport with my name on a sign when we arrived and drive us directly to the hotel - perfect after a long time in queue for the passport control! I will recommend this transfer service (only 1350 RUB) because there are not many taxis on the airport and it’s really chaotic.
I had ordered the standard welcome package (sparkling wine, fruits and candles) in our room at arrival as a romantic greeting for my wife (see my attached photos). It was great - just one little tip to the staff ; put the sparkling wine in a cooler.
The rooms are of a high standard, well decorated and definitely valuing the history of the building. The bathroom is clean with proper shower room size and they provided nice toiletries (see my attached photos from room 208).
The hotel location is perfect - the amazing Hermitage is only two minutes walk and it is only a couple more minutes to the famous Church of Spilled Blood.
The friendly staff sincerely enjoy serving their guests and making us feel at home! The staff dealt with any request or problem immediately and were exceptionally friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. They also spoke very good English.
The breakfast in the restaurant next door was excellent with a selection of fresh foods that never left me unsatisfied. This was also an excellent restaurant for dinner and which gave 20 % off to the hotel guests
Internet with good capacity (2-4 MB download) is free of charge in all areas of the hotel and restaurant
If you are going to St. Petersburg - this is the hotel to book!!
