Really cool displays and I enjoyed the clothing and fashion exhibition a lot more than I thought I would. The collection of classic cars was huge too. Loads to see with a good range of information to go along with the items on show too. Well worth a visit.

Great to see the winning costumes and others from last year up close, and a great collection of classic cars from the Model T onwards. Something for everyone.

Having seem all of the wellington shows It was a pleasure to visit the home of WOW. The feature of the display whilst there was the garments from the recent show so a bonus to get up close and personal to them and realise the extent of work that goes into the creation of these garments. The visit was equally complimented with a visit to the very credible car museum adjoining the WOW display.

Rather bizarre museum combining "something for the men" and "something for the ladies", in the form of a large car collection and a display of eccentric catwalk costumes. The car collection was very wide ranging, from early models to much more recent and familiar runarounds: guaranteed to bring back some memories for most people. The costumes are very wierd, and all the wierder for how seriously the museum seems to take them! all in all a decent place to kill some time on a rainy day, but the entry price is very high so I wouldn't go out of your way

I spent a great couple of hours here one day when the rain kept me from the outdoors. The cafe was also excellent.
I concentrated on the costumes, though it looked like they and some interesting cars in the two large warehouse rooms dedicated to that. There were 70 costumes on display the day I was there, all from the 2016 WOW competition. As well as being works of art that could be worn most were made out of very unusual materials which made the costumes even more interesting. Amazing things were done with plastic ties, one costume used weed barrier, another was made of wood veneer.
There was also a very interesting 30 minute video of the 2016 competition.
Definitely put this on your list. Great for the whole family.response / report this review -

One of the best tourist spots in Nelson. The concept of the Wearable arts is oustanding. This is a must visit Nelson attraction.

An excellent if rather eclectic collection. The main car display is excellent but the large building at the back has many more and you shouldn't miss it. The "Wearable Art " comes into the 'odd but interesting' category and allows those not interested in cars something to look at whilst the buffs are inspecting Dad's first car

Amazing to see the art up close. The lighting is quite dramatic mirroring the WOW show, which really adds to the effect. The classic cars gallery is very impressive. Such a vast collection. All for a reasonable entry price. I think this would be a good date option.
