The only pub in Whangamomona and 150 km radius. They have preserved the history of the place. The pub staff is very friendly and you can see the development of the town since 1850. Look around for the photos in the pub to know the town history.

We had some coffe over here and it was a good one!
Dont forget to get a stamp in your passport since you are entering the Republic!

They had a house pig - awkward but true! And somehow I liked it!

Great place to stop for food and drink if driving or riding the highway. The upstairs accommodation is warm and comfortable

A great coffee and lovely meal surrounded by historic Whangamomona memorabilia in the beautiful historic hotel. Souvenirs, clothing, and books available. I loved my short time there and would love to come back and spend more time there.

Historical sites and places are always good fun. No worries about this one. In the heart of the forgotten world highway between Stratford and Taumarunui. Awesome old Pub with great food and drinks and really good service. Must see part of New Zealand

Stayed here last night after traveling down the Forgotten World Highway. Had a warm welcome from the owners and locals. Facilities were very good, food was nice and we got our passports stamped.
