Internet was never working and the couch was so filthy we made the manager come and inspect it only then did it get changed

Really nice, a simple idea, a high level walkway amongst the trees and some information about flora and fauna. Add in a nice cafe and the result is a place to visit to while away a couple of hours.

If your going to have a business that clearly states a closing time, please stick to it. We turned up at 3.25 to a closed gate saying closed at 3.15, your FB page wasn't altered to alert potential customers that you were not staying open until 5timewasters!

Great views and concept. Needs more info on the trail and bird feeders. Not for the feint of heart if you don't like heights or shaky ground. The tower is worth the stairs, and the hanging platform is quite the adventure!

Just did the walk today in sunshine despite being June. The walk was very well laid out with lots of helpful info. Great 360degree views and at a reasonable price.

I enjoyed the tree top walk. The price is worth it considering that they need to maintain the structure. Take your time, listen to the birds, read the info and look at the veiws. If you buy your tickets from isite in hokitika you will get a $5 discount for each ticket.

First of all, this walk is not really worth the full price, so I would recommend keeping an eye on websites like bookme.co.nz to get a deal.
Generally the walk is pretty nice and it's very well constructed. I imagine it only gets better as the forest grows and recovers from the instalation of the structure. There is some good information about native plants and wildlife and the opportunity to see some native birds.
The cafe (which is not in the treetops 🙁) serves the usual coffee and cabinet food, however the coffee isn't great.response / report this review -

$38 per adult is a bit of a joke. Didn't make it past the cafe. You're better off heading up the road to Ross and walking around the old gold mining track for free.

Sorry I have to give this such a low rating because ultimately we didn't get past the gift shop. A 450m track for $38 per adult that would be over in 20mins. I get that the structure had to be built, but I bet it would get paid for more quickly if people actually went on it. Pull that pricepoint back to $12-15 and I bet your parking lot would be full, rather than empty. Looks great but the cost is prohibitive.

I agree that the price seems rather steep, but we have similar attractions here in BC, Canada, that are more expensive and offer less - and they don't let you bounce on the walkways.
I really enjoy heights (and childish activities lol), so the cantilevered portion of this walkway that is designed especially for people like me to bounce on, errrr, "gently sway in harmony with the forest" was quite a nice change!
Feeders to attract native species of wildlife would indeed be a good idea, as that is what I was hoping to see, but I also learned about many different plants and trees from the plentiful interpretive signs along the walkway.
If you are a local, get a yearly pass - it isn't much more, and you can go as many times as you like.
I'm not sure about their "advertising", but their website definitely has all the pricing information. "Know before you go" and you'll avoid many surprises.
