If you want to start surfing you're right here. The owner is a laid back guy and a good teacher. We had much fun at our beginner lession. Also nice shop.

We went there to rent surf board as we have been doing through numerous shop throughout New Zealand for the past few months, it was a public holiday on the day we went so the shop was closing at 2:00 pm it was 10:00 am. We have rented surf board multiple times from small shop like this one and always we received courteous and above and beyond service but not at that shop the lady said to us with a scowl that let us know we were a bother in the empty store, no rental today. No alternative or anything barely even looking at us while talking,We asked if there was any other shop where we could rent board the lady replied with the same scowl and said no other shop rents board and went back to whatever she was doing. So we left went to surf spot 5 from the shop by car in Cobden and there was a open surf shop right there renting board for free.
