Sorry but would not ever stay here again night club across the roads doesn't shut until 3 - room 17 window does not have any latches curtains 6 inches short of covering window

My wife and I stayed at the Wakatu Hotel in Nelson on the nights of 28th and 29th of June 2016. Our stay was not a plesent one.
The stair access to the rooms is rather steep and for a older couple hard to negotiate.
Our room was very small for a double and is really only a single with a double bed in it. Spare room around the bed to the walls is only about 18 inches or so.
The windows to outside would not close so cold air came in all the time, and the heater provided would not work. The bed only had a thin duvet and a old thin blanket.
Added to the problem was the onsuite has a air vent window open so that allowed cold air to move in one window and out the other.
So all in all very cold nights.
The free WiFi is not usable due to weak signal , No in room TV.
Room was not serviced so wet towels were available on the second day.
The shower did have a very good supply of hot water but the floor of the on suit has a distinct fall in it.
I cannot recommend the Wakatu Hotel in Nelsonresponse / report this review -
