Really nice and modern hut. Has no lights and no cooking facilities. Bring your own food and cooking equipment. There is a woodburner with firewood and water, sinks and large kitchen benches insides.
Features one large common room, two bunk bed rooms and sleeps 26 max in bunk beds unless you want to sleep on the floor. Bring a sleeping bed and a bed roll if sleeping on floor.
Does not have an axe to split wood, which would be a good thing to have.response / report this review -

it was awesome defiantly walking all that way for that again!! probably cooler then mount i reckon. cant wait to go back with all y buddies!! ive done the tongariro crossing and the Waitawheta hut was a straight 1000x better. so yeah i agree with the butt above e pretty chur alright!!
