After a gorgeous day of cycling around the lake, Plateau bar and eatery finished our day off perfectly. Service by Cherish and staff was excellent. All 4 diners at our table said their meal was delicious and just the right quantity. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting and there's no suggestions to top off a fantastic dining experience.

Consistently friendly staff, excellent bar service. Good range of bar snacks, but you may have to be patient with the kitchen during busy periods. Indoor and courtyard seating, limited views of the lake and mountains. Parking is never a issue - there's a large, free car park across the road. The crowd are mostly locals, professionals from the town centre.

Went there based on good reviews, supposed to be the best place in taupowe never got to find out! We were asked for I.D before we could order a drink, then rejected due to presenting our U.K drivers licences, which apparantly aren't valid for proving our age. Fair enough, liquor licensing rules are there for a reason but I am 29 and my partner is 25 and are both working proffessionals. We are over here to experience the world renowned kiwi hospitality and top quality food, of which neither were available to us when we visited.

Dined in many top class establishments. This was a one of the most enjoyable, certainly the best in Taupo I have experienced thus far. Uncomplicated, friendly, obliging and an excellent menu. All the crew were helpful. Atmosphere was relaxing despite excited children. Recommend this venue.

Wonderful fine dining. World class food and service in a stylish but comfortable setting. Great value for such stunning food. Seriously this place is just awesome all round. Staff are super professional while still being genuinely friendly.
