Best place I stayed at during my tour around nz! Toured during winter, therefore it was quite cold. Owners gave me the token for an extra long shower to warm up and later I got a load of delicious warm stew for free! Felt so very welcome there. Talked a lot to the nice lady who runs this business. Very very nice and friendly people! Beautiful place to stay and have a walk at the water at sunrise. Took my best pictures there. With seals in front of the rising sun. Make sure to pay a visit! (Feel bad that it took me over 2 years to finally write this)

Fantastic camping area ,very friendly host's who go out of there way to make you feel welcome ,clean grounds and a stones throw from the beach also great cray spot ,pity about the trains but i guess if you want to stay on the coast that is what you put up with ,will have no hesitation returning soon .

Really nice and helpful owners! Me and my friend got stuck on a rock while fishing as the tide came in. They came down to the beach to help us get back to the shore. Afterwards they took us in gave us a free shower and vetted my foot, which I injured while swimming back to the shore. Very nice people with a nice campsite by the beach.

I slept one night in the camp.
Friendly team, and nice place with the camp near the beach.
But noisy with the road and the train !!
