Their bikes were great. The only way to do this is by E bike. However, the girl that did the induction at Middlemarch was hopeless. When asking her questions about the bikes, their operation and how to charge them she did not have a clue and basically told us to figure it out for ourselves.

This was one of the best trips ever. Trail Journeys' planning for the bicycle ride, food, accommodations and extra events was flawless. I would recommend this company to anyone that can ride a bicycle; it was easy riding, (Rails to Trails are generally pretty easy); there was significant SAG support including snack breaks, and the side trips in the afternoon, led by our esteemed guide, were informative, useful to understand the culture and climate a little better, and just plain enjoyable. This area of New Zealand is beautiful and this is one of the best ways to see it

Great trip. Family thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Amazing scenery. Trail Journeys went above and beyond to organize our trip at late notice when other companies couldn't be bothered. Bikes, service were top notch. They organized bikes, accommodation and train to Dunedin. Tip. Take the bare essentials with you on the bike. Use the baggage service to move extras between accommodation. Amazing cafes and pub food strategically placed on the trip.
