  Like most hotels in small town New Zealand this place is dated and in need of a facelift. The outside looks worse than the inside however.
  
  The rooms are good size and serviceable but it's quite noisy. There is no air conditioning and the windows are not secure so keep that in mind if you are staying in the summer.

  When we weren't happy with the room we got we were moved to a much nicer room without a fuss. Our packed luggage was moved while we were out. The staff were very nice & friendly, providing tourist maps & info. We enjoyed the sauna. We'd stay there again.

  Friendly staff, good menu and food, accommodation varies in quality however with a commitment to improve from lacklustre previous management these rooms are being renovated beds, pillows and linen are comfortable and clean in both levels of accommodation I have used.

  Great place .. stayed 2 nights, had room service from the restaurant which is on site one night. Awesome meal .. will be back.
